Welcome to the World of Grombrooklyn Gaming!
Hi, my name is Timo, but most people call me Professor TiPl.
Over the course of the 2026 Play! Pokémon Season, we will be hosting a series of qualifiers for the first-ever Grombrooklyn Invitational next year.
(Current Prize Pool: €100)
The Top 4 players of this special event will earn an automatic invite to the Grombrooklyn Invitational.
Format and Rules
- Format: VGC Standard Rules – Regulation F on Nintendo Switch
- Team Sheets: Open Team Sheets
- Swiss Rounds / Top Cut: Dependent on total number of participants; updates will be communicated via Discord
Swiss & Top Cut Structure:
- 17–32 players → 5 Swiss → Top 4 or Top 8
- 33–64 players → 6 Swiss → Top Cut: X-2 or better (Max 16)
- 65–128 players → 7 Swiss → Top Cut: X-2 or better (Max 16)
- 129–256 players → 8 Swiss → Top Cut: X-2 or better (Max 16)
- 257+ players → 9 Swiss → Top Cut: X-2 or better (Max 16)
- Discord: All participants must join the official Discord server for live updates, pairings, and dispute resolution
- Disconnects: In case of a disconnect, both players must provide a photo of the error screen. Failure to do so may result in a game loss
Match Structure
- All matches are Best-of-Three.
- Every game is allowed to run its natural course; no game will be terminated early except in exceptional circumstances, such as Sudden Death.

10 minute round check-in
players with 5 or more points (max. 16 players) OR top 8, whichever is higher, advance to the next phase
