Deck Guide

There are 8 decklists provided below, loosely based off the decklists of the original Pokemon TCG Theme Decks from Base Set, Jungle, and Fossil. Each decklist has 21 Pokemon, 21 Trainers, and 18 Energy.

You’ll choose a decklist and build the deck as follows:

Pokemon card names and quantities are published, but the printing/version of the cards are not specified - you may choose to play any Pokemon (Expanded-legal) as long as the card names and quantities match those of the decklist.

Trainer card names and quantities must be followed exactly; all eight decklists run the same Trainers.

Energy is limited to only Basic Energy of the types published in the decklist. You are free to use any combination of those energy types as long as the total number of energy is 18.

See the decklists below!

This event features flexible 3-Day Rounds and will progress over the course of several weeks. You will have three days to coordinate and complete your match against each opponent. Tournament updates will be posted frequently in the PTCGO League Discord Server.

3-Day Round Policy: Once a new round is paired all players will have 3 days to complete the match with their opponent. You MUST complete check in and initiate contact with your opponent within the first 24 hours. If you are missing matches/check-ins or are non-responsive to messages from your opponent, you may be dropped without warning at the organizer's discretion.

Deck Sharing ON: The Deck List Sharing feature must always be turned ON in the game settings.

Match Timers ON: When you challenge your opponent you must always enable the Timed Match option.

Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1.  For Games 2 & 3 in best-of-three matches, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first.  (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game.)

Game Loss Due to Connectivity Issues / Player Mistakes: It is league policy that each game that is initiated should count toward the match outcome. Some unfortunate situations may arise during gameplay — a player’s game may end due to internet/connectivity issues; or they may mistakenly choose the wrong deck or disregard a special gameplay rule.  In those cases, that player should accept the game loss.

Incomplete Matches: At the end of a scheduled round, any incomplete matches will be automatically scored a double loss (or tie where applicable).  If one player was primarily responsible for the match not being completed (examples: lack of reasonable communication, insufficient availability to schedule a the match, leaving in the middle of a best-of-3 set, etc), the organizer is permitted to give their opponent the victory.

Need Help?: If you have any questions or concerns during the event, use the Request a Judge button here on Limitless or get in touch with rabidragon#3983 on Discord.
