Register for the tournament & submit your decklist here on Limitless prior to the start of the event.
IMPORTANT: This is NOT a live event! Players will have up to 3 days to complete their match with each opponent. Players are responsible for timely contact with their opponent to coordinate a time to play. Most of our players find it easiest to communicate via the PTCGO League Discord Server.
You may use any cards available in PTCGO that meet the criteria below.
POKEMON
All Pokemon in your deck must correspond with Fighting-type Pokemon from the video games!
Click here for a reference list of eligible Pokemon. All Pokemon that have the appropriate type (as either their primary or secondary type) are allowed to be used.
You may also include prior stages of the evolution line for any cards in your deck, even if those prior stages are not the required type.
Pokemon with a Rule Box are NOT allowed.
Your deck must include at least 8 Basic Pokemon.
TRAINERS
The following Trainer cards are allowed:
- Any Supporters with the word "Professor" in their name.
- Any Items with the word "Ball" in their name (excluding Tool cards).
- Any of the Trainer card names listed below:
- Black Belt
- Bodybuilding Dumbbells
- Escape Rope
- Focus Sash
- Gym Trainer
- Judge
- Karate Belt
- Muscle Band
- Pokedex
- Pokegear 3.0
- Pokemon Catcher
- Rare Candy
- Revive
- Switch
Organizer's Note: In an effort to make things as easy as possible, players may use "Cynthia" in place of "Professor Oak's New Theory" - the two cards have the same effect.
ENERGY
Basic Energy is allowed (no restrictions).
Special Energy is NOT allowed.
Single-Elimination Bracket (BO3): Each match will be a best-of-3 set. The match winner advances; the match loser is eliminated.
3-Day Match Period: You'll have 3 days to complete each match. You MUST make contact with your opponent within the first 24 hours of the round or you will receive the loss. Incomplete matches will be reviewed by the organizer and the most appropriate outcome will be determined based on the information available; in some cases the player who made a more reasonable effort to play will be given the win.
Deck Sharing ON: The Deck List Sharing feature must always be turned ON in the game settings.
Match Timers ON: When you challenge your opponent you must always enable the Timed Match option.
Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1. For Games 2 & 3 in best-of-three matches, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first. (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game).
Wrong Deck Selected: If a player chooses the wrong deck by accident, they must declare so immediately before any actions are taken. If Deck Sharing is on, the opposing player should be able to verify that the deck was in fact incorrect and the game should be replayed. If any conditions above are not met, the result is a game loss.
Illegal Decklist: If a player is discovered to have submitted a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event without exception. It is the player’s responsibility to submit a legal decklist in advance; no changes of any kind are allowed once the event has started.
Disconnections/Leaving a Game: In the event of a disconnect, the timer will continue to run while the player attempts to reconnect. If the game ends the match due to inactivity or a player leaves the game for any other reason, it is considered a game loss.
Need Help?: Please notify the organizer immediately if you have any concerns. Use the Request a Judge button here on Limitless or get in touch with @rabidragon#3983 on our league's Discord.
