What Is Progression?

Similar to a prerelease, each player will have a unique card pool. This is allocated by Rotom Bot of the PTCGL League Discord server. The cards are selected from the SVI series and card probabilities are based on real-life booster packs, at 10 cards per pack. From generating 40 packs, each player will have 400 individual cards to choose from.

How to Play

  1. Navigate to the progression-pulls channel of the PTCGL League Discord server. Within that channel, type in "!pull" and our friendly Rotom Bot will allocate your randomly generated card collection - just as if it were opening the booster packs for you.

  2. Once you have generated a card collection, use the "!show" or "!export" commands and Rotom Bot will provide a list with images. You can include a suffix to filter this list, for example "!show Commons" will show all your Common-rarity cards, or "!show :typefire:" will show all your Fire-type Pokemon cards. The "!export" command will provide the entire card list in a format acceptable by LimitlessTCG's deck builder. More information is available from the progression-info channel of the PTCGL League Discord server.

  3. Register to play. Construct and submit your deck before the deadline (November 1 @ 9:59PM New York Time).

  4. Use PTCGL to play your matches.

Note:

  • For the purpose of a balanced game, all players additionally have access to 4 (four) copies of a Standard-legal Supporter card that has the exact phrase: "Draw 3 cards."
  • This event is the first of multiple "Progression" styled events. In the following events, players will be able to use the same cards of their collection, in amongst additional cards generated for that new set. If a player had participated in this event (at least 2 rounds), they will be allowed to re-pull their entire SVI collection before generating those additional cards.
  • As always, acquiring the cards in-game is the player's responsibility. The cards generated by Rotom Bot only permit a player to use them in this event, up to the number specified.

Tournament Structure

Note: This event features 3-day rounds. Players will have 24 hours to check in and coordinate a match time with their opponent.
