Hi I’m Professor Nemo, head of the Research to find back Professor Kai. Welcome to the Challenges, special events that use different rulesets than the official VGC ones our Tour uses!

Unlike the usual tournaments, these challenges will unfold on showdown, each one presenting its own unique set of rules and thrilling surprises!

Shards are found across the Breachia Region we live in, and now, this Shard seem to show us a Gym and react strongly to groups of Pokémon with the same types. We will host an event where people must join with monotype teams and see what we can pull off from the Shard!

♢ Closed team sheet, but a team sheet is needed for the judges and organizers. Team will also be revealed after the event.

♢ Number of swiss (BO3) rounds will depend on player number, players will be informed of this in the discord.

• 17-32 players > 5 swiss rounds > Top 8 (right after swiss)
• 33-64 players > 6 swiss rounds > Top 8 (right after swiss)
• 65-128 players > 7 swiss rounds > Top 16 (right after swiss)
• 129-256 players > 8 swiss rounds (day 1) > Top 16 (day 2 guaranteed)
• 257-409 players > 9 swiss rounds (day 1) > Top 16 (day 2 guaranteed)

♢ Rounds last 45 mins with around a 5 mins break between rounds.

♢ If you have entered, you must join the discord. You’ll get live information for the rounds, results, points awarded, can contact opponents if they haven’t shown up, disputes are able to be resolved faster and rules are easily accessible on the discord.

♢ Please read the rules in the discord to avoid sanctions. The rules are still applicable to you even if you do not read them.
