  1. In the PTCGL League Discord server (linked above), use the "!roll-sets" command in the #card-pool-rolls channel.

  2. The "!roll-sets" command will randomly choose three Pokémon TCG sets for you: two main sets, and one special set. These three sets make up your card pool for the tournament! All Pokémon, Trainers, and Special Energies in your decklist must come from the three Pokémon TCG sets produced from your roll.

  3. To help balance things out for players, Rule Box Pokémon are allowed, but you may not use more than two copies of a Rule Box Pokémon in your deck. In other words, 2 Dragonite V and 2 Dragonite VSTAR are allowed in a deck, since they have different names, but you are not allowed to use 3 or 4 copies of Dragonite V. This includes cards with the same name across different sets. You could play 2 Dragonite V PGO, or 1 Dragonite V PGO and 1 Dragonite V EVS, but you may not play 2 Dragonite V PGO and 1 Dragonite V EVS (this adds up tp 3 Rule Box Pokémon with the same name).

  4. All Secret Rare/Trainer Gallery/etc. cards from a set are eligible for use. You also are allowed to substitute different arts of cards into your deck, as long as the function of the cards involved are exactly the same. For example, Mew VMax is a Trainer Gallery card in Lost Origin, but was originally released in Fusion Strike. If "!roll-sets" gives you Lost Origin as one of your sets, you are allowed to use Mew VMax in your deck (2 copies maximum since it's a Rule Box Pokémon), and you may use whichever Mew VMax card art that you'd like (in this example, you would be able to use any of the Mew VMax LOR arts or Mew VMax FST arts). If "!roll-sets" gives you both Fusion Strike and Lost Origin in your results, you are still only allowed to play 2 copies maximum of Mew VMax, even though it appears in both sets.

3-Day Rounds / 24-Hour Check In: Once a new round is paired all players will have 3 days to complete the match with their opponent. You MUST complete check in and initiate contact with your opponent within the first 24 hours. If you are missing matches/check-ins or are non-responsive to messages from your opponent, you may be dropped without warning at the organizer's discretion.

Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1.  For Games 2 & 3, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first.  (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game.)

Game Loss Due to Connectivity/App Issues or Player Mistakes: It is league policy that each game that is initiated should count toward the match outcome. Some unfortunate situations may arise during gameplay — a player’s game may end or become unresponsive due to internet or app issues, the player may choose the wrong deck, etc. In those cases, that player should accept the game loss.

Incomplete Matches: At the end of a scheduled round, any incomplete matches will be automatically scored a double loss (or tie where applicable).  If one player was primarily responsible for the match not being completed (examples: lack of reasonable communication, insufficient availability to schedule a the match, leaving in the middle of a best-of-3 set, etc), the organizer is permitted to give their opponent the victory.

Illegal Decklist: If a player is discovered to have submitted a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event without exception. It is the player’s responsibility to submit a legal decklist in advance; no changes of any kind are allowed once the event has started.

Family Friendly Community: We welcome players of all ages. You are expected to conduct yourself appropriately and keep discussions polite. Inappropriate content in the form of usernames, language used in chat, or in any other context is subject to removal from the event.

Need Help?: If you have any questions or concerns during the event, use the "Request a Judge" button here on Limitless or get in touch with @MattyCims or @SuperiorSpidr on Discord.
