HOW TO PLAY

  1. Register for the tournament prior to the published start time.

  2. Join the PTCGL League Discord Server. You will need to DM @superiorspidr on Discord before the round to choose a valid decklist from the eligible deck pool.

  3. Matches are played on the Pokemon TCG Live application.

  4. This event features flexible 3-Day Rounds and will progress over the course of several weeks. You will have three days to coordinate and complete your match against each opponent.

DECK RULES

This tournament uses pre-constructed decks sourced from PTCGL's Starter and Battle Pass decks, with non-Standard legal cards being substituted for legal alternatives.

1. For each round, there are 8 available decks that may be used. These are published in the 'Deck Pools' section below. Before the start of each round, you must DM @superiorspidr on Discord with the name of the deck you will play for that round.

  • You may NOT choose a deck that you have already chosen previously during the tournament.
  • When a new round is paired, the players' deck choices for that round will be revealed.
  • Players who failed to submit a valid deck name will be dropped.

2. Make sure the deck you choose to play matches the decklist provided in the 'Deck Lists' section.

  • Alternate printings of cards with the same function are allowed.

TOURNAMENT POLICIES

3-Day Rounds / 24-Hour Check In: Once a new round is paired all players will have 3 days to complete the match with their opponent. You MUST complete check in and initiate contact with your opponent within the first 24 hours. If you are missing matches/check-ins or are non-responsive to messages from your opponent, you may be dropped without warning at the organizer's discretion.

Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1.  For Games 2 & 3, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first.  (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game.)

Game Loss Due to Connectivity/App Issues or Player Mistakes: It is league policy that each game that is initiated should count toward the match outcome. Some unfortunate situations may arise during gameplay — a player’s game may end or become unresponsive due to internet or app issues, the player may choose the wrong deck, etc. In those cases, that player should accept the game loss.

Incomplete Matches: At the end of a scheduled round, any incomplete matches will be automatically scored a double loss (or tie where applicable).  If one player was primarily responsible for the match not being completed (examples: lack of reasonable communication, insufficient availability to schedule a the match, leaving in the middle of a best-of-3 set, etc), the organizer is permitted to give their opponent the victory.

Illegal Decklist: If a player is discovered to have submitted a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event without exception. It is the player’s responsibility to submit a legal decklist in advance; no changes of any kind are allowed once the event has started.

Family Friendly Community: We welcome players of all ages. You are expected to conduct yourself appropriately and keep discussions polite. Inappropriate content in the form of usernames, language used in chat, or in any other context is subject to removal from the event.

Need Help?: If you have any questions or concerns during the event, use the "Request a Judge" button here on Limitless or get in touch with @rabidragon or @SuperiorSpidr on Discord.
