Free Entry! Tournament is sponsored by Card Cavern Trading Cards
Register for the tournament & submit your decklist here on Limitless prior to the start of the event.
IMPORTANT: This is NOT a live event! Players will have up to 3 days to complete their match with each opponent. Players are responsible for timely contact with their opponent to coordinate a time to play. Most of our players find it easiest to communicate via the PTCGO League Discord Server.
This is a Standard Format tournament where Rule Box Pokemon are not allowed. Radiant, V, Vmax, Vstar and Vunion Pokemon cannot be played.
The Trainer Scoop Up Net is Banned. You cannot play the item card Scoop Up Net in this event. This card is banned it does too much for no cost.
See list of banned pokemon below ↓ with a brief justification as to why we felt the need to restrict that card in this tournament. Most of the banned cards are banned because their power level gatekeeps other cards we would like to play/see played. We want this tournament to be fun and interesting. A meta full of Inteleon, Cramorant and Weezing would not be interesting.
Banned Pokemon:
- Inteleon (Shady Dealings). Shady Dealings Inteleon is still over powered even without scoop up net.
- Cramorant (Lost Provisions). Lost box nerf. Cram does too much too early.
- Regigigas (Ancient Wisdom). Play Standard if you want to play Regigigas.
- Snorlax (Thumping Snore). Snorlax's attack is too strong for a basic pokemon in this format.
- Centiskorch (Hundred Foot Flames). Too powerful in a slower format.
- Galarian Weezing (Neutralizing Gas). Weezing stall mirrors are not fun.
Rule Summary:
- Your deck must be legal in the TCG's Standard format.
- Single Prize Pokemon only. Pokemon with a Rule Box are not allowed.
- Your deck must adhere to our banned list.
SWISS (BO3) with 3-Day Rounds: Players will have three days to complete their match against each opponent. Any matches without results reported by end of the round will be scored a double loss. If there is no sign of activity you will be dropped.
TOP CUT (BO3): Following the swiss phase, the Top 8 players will advance to a single-elimination bracket.
Check In Policy: CHECK IN is required for each individual round. You are expected to contact your opponent to set up a time to play within the first 24 hours of the round. Failure to check in or communicate will result in a match loss and you may be dropped without warning. If you miss a round but still intend to play in future rounds, please contact the organizer/judge and make them aware that you wish to continue in the event.
Deck Sharing ON: The Deck List Sharing feature must always be turned ON in the game settings.
Match Timers ON: When you challenge your opponent you must always enable the Timed Match option.
Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1. For Games 2 & 3 in best-of-three matches, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first. (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game).
Wrong Deck Selected: If a player chooses the wrong deck by accident, they must declare so immediately before any actions are taken. If Deck Sharing is on, the opposing player should be able to verify that the deck was in fact incorrect and the game should be replayed. If any conditions above are not met, the result is a game loss.
Illegal Decklist: If a player is discovered to have submitted a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event without exception. It is the player’s responsibility to submit a legal decklist in advance; no changes of any kind are allowed once the event has started.
Disconnections/Leaving a Game: In the event of a disconnect, the timer will continue to run while the player attempts to reconnect. If the game ends the match due to inactivity or a player leaves the game for any other reason, it is considered a game loss.
