Welcome to the Atlas Collectables POG Championships 2021!
Please ensure you are in the POG Championships Discord Server in order to receive the latest news and updates about the event: https://discord.gg/tvsWzhrSeu
After the incredible success of last year's POG Championships, the Tournament Organizers of the online community have come back together to do it all again!
This tournament is free to play, and has a prize pool of over $2000 thanks to our sponsor Atlas Collectables! Remember to check them out at https://www.atlascollectables.com/ and https://atlaspokemart.com/ where you can pick up all of the newest Pokemon cards, as well as online codes for PTCGO!
The prize pool consists of $2150 USD, paid out as follows:
- 1st - $500 USD
- 2nd - $250 USD
- Top 4 - $150 USD
- Top 8 - $75 USD
- Top 16 - $50 USD
- Top 32 - $25 USD
This tournament will be played in a similar style to how the World Championships would normally run. Due to Day 1 being split into 2 pods in order to help accommodate different time zones, each pod will play 10 Best-of-one 30 minute rounds. In order to keep things fair, you are only allowed to play in one pod. Registration and decklist submission for both pods will close at the same time.
This page is for the Pod 2 event. If you are in an earlier timezone (such as Japan, Australia or Europe) then you may want to register for the Pod 1 event, which can be found here: https://play.limitlesstcg.com/tournament/6112be7e3ec3ac1f06b22478/details
All players that manage to get 7 wins on Day 1 will qualify for the Day 2 tournament. If a player reaches 7 wins, they will be "dropped" from the event, and will be given access to register for the Day 2 tournament, which will be published soon.
Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions, be sure to familiarize yourself with them and feel free to ask questions in the Discord server if need be!
- The format for POG 2021 will be Team Up - Evolving Skies (TEU-EVS). This will be Standard format on PTCGO at the time.
- You must check in to the tournament before it starts, event check in will start 2 hours before the event begins and can be done through your Dashboard.
- You must also check in to every match you play. If you fail to check in for 2 consecutive rounds, you will be dropped from the event unless you contact a judge.
- Match timers must be enabled when sending a challenge to your opponent. We play with match timers enabled, but this does not mean that a player can freely waste all of their time every turn in order to run out the round timer and avoid a loss. If you believe your opponent is slowplaying you, please request a judge.
- You must be contactable by a judge at all times during the tournament, preferably via discord or as a minimum in the match chat. Players that do not respond to judge communication run the risk of being awarded match losses or being dropped from the event.
- There are no ties for this event. If your game goes to time, it will be a loss for both players. If you wish to dispute the outcome of your match, please request a judge.
- This event will be staffed by experienced TPCi judges, and rulings will be made in accordance with the official tournament rules.
We hope to see you all there, and best of luck to all who play!
