How to Play

This tournament is played live on Sunday, November 14 @ 8:30pm EST.

  1. Registration & Decklist Submission closes at 8:20pm EST (10 minutes before the start of the event) so that the organizer may perform deck checks. Anyone who has not submitted a valid decklist at that time will be dropped.

  2. You'll also need to complete Check-In (opens 30 minutes prior to the start of the event).

Please keep your Dashboard open during the event. Thank you!

Deck Rules

Every Pokemon, Trainer, and Special Energy card in your deck must be Single Strike and/or Rapid Strike.

(You are not required to choose one; you may use a combination of Single Strike & Rapid Strike cards should you wish to do so).

You may also use the following cards in your deck, ignoring the restriction above:

  • Great Ball
  • Kubfu
  • Marnie
  • Ordinary Rod
  • Pokemon Catcher
  • Switch

Basic Energy can be used without restriction.

There are NO Pokemon-V / Rule Box Pokemon allowed in your deck.

Note: Cards from the new Fusion Strike expansion are legal as long as they meet all requirements above.

Structure

  • Swiss Rounds w/ 4 Players advancing to Top Cut
  • BO1: You'll play a single game against your opponent (applies to all stages of this event.)
  • Match Timers MUST be ON in game.
  • Rounds are 25 minutes long (any incomplete matches will be scored a loss)

Gameplay

Check In Policy: Players must CHECK-IN within the first 5 minutes of each round. Failure to do so will result in a game loss. In an effort to ensure as many players as possible are paired with active opponents, those who fail to check in may be dropped. If you miss a round by accident but still intend to play in future rounds, it's your responsibility to make the organizers aware that you wish to continue in the event.

Deck Sharing ON: The Deck List Sharing feature must always be turned ON in the game settings.

Match Timers ON: When you challenge your opponent you must always enable the Timed Match option.

Going First/Second: The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first for Game 1. For Games 2 & 3 in best-of-three matches, the loser of the prior game gets to decide who goes first. (In cases where the winner of the previous game wins the coin flip and selects the wrong option by accident, the opponent is entitled to request a restart of the affected game).

Wrong Deck Selected: If a player chooses the wrong deck by accident, they must declare so immediately before any actions are taken. If Deck Sharing is on, the opposing player should be able to verify that the deck was in fact incorrect and the game should be replayed. If any conditions above are not met, the result is a game loss.

Illegal Decklist: If a player is discovered to have submitted a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event without exception. It is the player’s responsibility to submit a legal decklist in advance; no changes of any kind are allowed once the event has started.

Disconnections/Leaving a Game: In the event of a disconnect, the timer will continue to run while the player attempts to reconnect. If the game ends the match due to inactivity or a player leaves the game for any other reason, it is considered a game loss.

Need Help?: Please notify the organizer immediately if you have any concerns. Use the Request a Judge button here on Limitless or get in touch with @rabidragon on our league's Discord.
