Welcome to PTCGO League's Starter Series! This tournament series hopes to appeal to new players learning the Pokemon TCG and more experienced players who are interested in trying a pared down version of the game.

How to Play

Starter Series events will be hosted here on Limitless. Check the "Tournament" tab for completed and upcoming events.

Tournaments will start on the last day of each month. Each tournament will progress with flexible 3-day rounds to accommodate as many players as possible. Once a tournament is completed, the next one will open for registration.

There will always be a pool of 240 cards available to be played. This includes Pokemon of many different types, Trainer cards, and Basic & Special Energy. The cards should be relatively easy to acquire and easy to understand. You may use any combination of the cards you’d like, and you may use up to 4 copies of each card in your deck.

The cards used in the top deck(s) will be removed and replaced by new cards for the next event, ensuring an ever-changing metagame.

Prizes

Prizing for each individual tournament will always be codes for the most recent Pokemon TCG booster pack. See individual tournament pages for specific prizing information.

Starter Series Grand Finals

Each Starter Series tournament awards points for players’ position in the standings. After five events have been completed, the top 8 players in points will be invited to compete in a special Grand Finals tournament.
