As this is our finale event, only players with 10 or more points acquired from our events this past season will be able to compete.

  • Click the Register Now button to sign up for the event. You'll be asked to provide the following information:

    • Your Discord username
  • Submit your custom decklists my messaging them in Limitless format to @pinon_ on discord. You will not submit a decklist to Limitless, but still must submit them in order to play!

  • Join us on Discord: You MUST join the Pocket Discord server. This will allow you to get the latest updates on the event and more easily contact your opponents.

  • Tournament Check In is required. A yellow "check in" button will appear on the dashboard 24 hours before the start of the event.

deckrules

Players will select 3 specific packs, and then make 3 separate decks. Each deck will use one of the three selected packs, and be made using cards obtainable from that pack only (As well as Promo-A Trainer cards).

As an example, a player chooses Genetic Apex: Pikachu, Mythical Island, and Space-time Smackdown: Palkia. Their first deck only consists of Genetic Apex: Pikachu cards (and Promo-A), second only of Mythical Island cards (and Promo-A), etc.

When choosing your 3 packs, and making your decks, you must adhere to the following restrictions:

  • You cannot choose 2 packs from the same expansion (For example, you cannot choose both Genetic Apex: Charizard and Genetic Apex: Mewtwo)
  • You may only select at most one pack from B Series.
  • You may not select Deluxe ex as one of your packs.
  • Cards are defined as “being from” a pack if their diamond-rarity card can be obtained from that pack. Therefore: Crown Rares are not able to be counted as being from “any” pack of an expansion. Diamond-rarity cards that can be obtained from both/all packs of an expansion may be used for any pack of that expansion

Alternate printings are allowed in our events as long as they have the same name & function as a valid card per the rules above.

You will dm your lists to @pinon for this event. You will not need to submit a decklist to Limitless.

gameplayrules

Matches will be played in a Best of 5 Conquest format. In short, you must win a game with each of your three decks to win the set.

  • For the first game played of each set, you may play with any of the decks you have submitted.
  • Once you have won a game with a deck, you cannot use that deck again for the remainder of the set. You will play the remainder of the set with the remaining two decks, and then remaining singular deck once another game is won.
  • Losing with a deck does not mean anything; you may continue to use that deck or switch it going into the next game.
  • NOTE: With this format, draws will result in a replay. Players may change their decks between any replay.
  • For game 5 only (when both players only have one deck left), should the game need to be replayed, a subsequent draw will result in a win for the player who had more points at the end of turn 30.

Swiss System with Top Cut

  • Swiss System: You will be paired with a new opponent each round and your goal is to earn as many match/set wins as possible.

    • A match win is worth 1 point.
    • A match loss or draw is worth 0 pts.
  • Top Cut: At the end of the Swiss phase, all players with 4 or more points will advance to a single-elimination bracket.

  • Best-of-5: All matches in this tournament are best-of-five games. This means you will play up to five games against each opponent; the first player to win three games, or one game with each deck, is declared the match winner.

policies

Scheduling Your Match

Coordinating a Time to Play: Players are responsible for making a reasonable effort to schedule their matches. A reasonable effort is defined as making contact via Discord in a timely manner and providing specific dates/times that are suitable for play. You and your opponent should agree on a mutually acceptable date & time so that both players know when to be online and ready to play.

Late to Match: Players should notify their opponent if they will be unable to make a scheduled time. A player who fails to show up after 25 minutes will be responsible for rescheduling a match before the round ends. Failure to do so is grounds for a loss by default.

Incomplete Matches: At the end of a scheduled round, the organizer will assess any situations where a match was not completed. If one player was primarily responsible for the match not being completed (examples: lack of reasonable communication, insufficient availability, leaving in the middle of a best-of-5 set), the organizer is permitted to give their opponent the victory. Extensions may be granted under certain circumstances, but players should generally expect match deadlines to be enforced.

During Your Match

Connectivity Issues: It is our policy that each game that is started should count toward the match outcome. A game officially starts at the coin flip. If a player’s game becomes unresponsive due to internet or app issues, that player should accept the game loss. If players get an error during the initial match connection (before the coin flip), that game is not considered to have been started and you should try again with no impact to the match results.

Game Loss due to Incorrect Deck: If the player is using the wrong deck, they should take the loss for that single game and then complete the remainder of the best-of-5 match using one of their entered decks.

Tie Games: With this format, draws will result in a replay. Players may change their decks between any replay.

  • For game 5 only (when both players only have one deck left), should the game need to be replayed, a subsequent draw will result in a win for the player who had more points at the end of turn 30.

Proof of Match Result: It is recommended that players take a screenshot of the victory screen for each game. You should keep these until the end of the tournament in case there is a dispute.

Tournament Eligibility & More

Illegal Decklist: If a player submits a deck that does not comply with the rules, they will be dropped from the event. There are no changes to decklists once the event has started.

Dropping from the Event: If you no longer wish to be paired in future rounds, please go to your dashboard and click the red "Drop"button.

Dropped after Missed Check In: In order to have as many active pairings as possible each round, players who fail to check in for their match should expect to be dropped. If you missed a check in by mistake but intend to continue playing in the event, please contact the organizer on Discord and let them know you would like to be paired in future rounds.

Player Autonomy: Each player is expected to use their own Pocket account to play (it should match the "in-game name" from your registration) and their own Discord account to communicate. Account sharing and/or the use of multiple accounts are prohibited.

Family Friendly Community: We welcome players of all ages. Please conduct yourself appropriately and keep discussions polite. Inappropriate content in the form of usernames, language used in chat, or any other context is subject to removal from the event.

Staff Rulings: Tournament staff has the authority to take any actions and make rulings consistent with the spirit of the game and in the best interest of fair play.
