Beanie Brawl Our goal is to provide players with a fun and competitive atmosphere for all to play Pokemon! We normally host VGC Tournaments, but today we are running a TCG Pocket Tournament.

Submitting a Deck List

Rules

Read all the rules before registering

  1. Play Honestly
    • Intentionally dishonest players will be disqualified from the tournament and will be banned from all future events
    • Stream Sniping qualifies as intentional dishonest
  2. Players must join the Discord server to play and receive tournament updates
    • You may be penalized if we unable to reach you about your car's extended warranty
  3. Every player must submit a deck list
    • Discrepancies are subject to potential penalties. See below for details
  4. Treat everyone with respect
    • Zero Tolerance for rudeness, hatred, racism, and all levels of bigotry
    • Player will be instantly disqualification and potentially banned from all future, depending on severity
  5. Listen and cooperate with Tournament Organizers and Judges.
    • Refusal to respectfully cooperate may result in a Game Loss or a Disqualification from the event.
  6. Arrive on Time for your match!
    • Players will have 10 minutes to check in for their match
    • After 10 minutes, Limitless will automatically give un-checked-in players a loss for the round
    • If you know you will be late to a match, please let the Tournament Organizer know so they can adjust accordingly
  7. For any issues click CALL A JUDGE in your match. Issues include (not limited to)
    • Opponent not showing up
    • Disconnections or Deck List Discrepancies (see below)
    • Rude opponent
  8. Players will be responsible for making sure they are checking Limitless to see if a new round has started.
    • While Discord notifications are a nice to have, they should not be the only thing that a player should be paying attention to.
    • You should constantly check Limitless to make sure you do not miss your round

Discord

Players must join the thatguyinabeanie Discord Server - here we will be communicating tournament announcements. There may be penalties if a Judge tries to reach out to a player and we are unable to reach them.

Disconnections

If a Disconnection occurs, you are required to provide an error code. Failure to provide an error code may result in a game loss.

To provide an error code, do the following...

  1. TAKE A PICTURE OF THE ERROR CODE WITH AN YOUR PHONE. The error code will be a combination of letters and/or numbers.
  2. In your limitless match, click on CALL A JUDGE.

Deck List Errors

It is the PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY to provide a full and accurate deck list. Once the tournament has started, you will not be able to make any changes to your deck list. Double check that your deck list submission is correct.

If a discrepancy is found WHILE a game is being played

  1. CALL A JUDGE
  2. If possible, take a screenshot or save the recording
  3. Upon verification of a deck list error, the offending player will receive a game loss for the current game.
  4. The offending player has the option to either fix the discrepancy by updating their Pokémon to match their deck list.
  5. If the player is unable to update their in-game Pokémon to match their submitted deck list, they will no longer be able to bring that Pokémon to any further games in any of their rounds.

Is there prize money?

Not all tournaments have a prize payout. Please refer to the relevant tweet on the twitter profile @thatguyinabeani to check if the tournament has a prize payout.

If there is prize money, what are the payout details?

If the tournament has a prize payout, expect Top 8 to get a payout - unless stated otherwise The percentage of the payout for places 1st through 8 will be as follows.

  • 1st: 40%
  • 2nd: 20%
  • T4: 10%
  • T8: 5%
