This Sword and Shield - Pokémon GO Standard event is brought to you by Zach Lesage and Atlas Collectables. Compete with some of the best players in a welcoming environment for the chance to win $1000 in prizing*. This event is in real life and isn't online. Each participant will receive up to one slices of pizza with paid entry into the event (no substitutions). There will be side events throughout the day with possibilities including win-a-box, GLC format, and more.

  • This event is located at 354 King Street North Waterloo, ON..
  • This event has a registration cost of $30CAD online (plus applicable taxes) or $35CAD at the door (plus applicable taxes).
  • You can pay here at Atlas Collectables Registration. Please contact ZachLesage#3773 on Discord or ZachLesagePTCG on Twitter with proof of payment for your entry code.
  • You can pay $35CAD in person at Atlas Collectables to receive your entry code. You will receive an entry code upon paying.
  • IRL Registrations will start around 10AM. Players are required to have everything completed before 12:15PM.
  • Registration and Decklist submission end at 12:15PM. Players are required to have everything completed before 12:15PM.
  • If you register for this event, you will not receive a refund unless the event is cancelled. Players are required to have everything completed before 11AM.
  • This event follows the Standard format of Sword and Shield to Pokemon GO.
  • Players must have a legal 60 card deck and proxy cards aren't allowed at this event.
  • There will be an appropriate amount of Swiss Rounds based on attendance followed by a Top Cut of 8 players.
  • Players can view their opponents deck list on Play Limitless before or after each game (in between games during Best of Three is valid). Players can use their devices to call a judge during their game or can say "Judge" - whichever is easier.
  • Swiss Rounds will be 53 mins long, Best of Three, and when time is called there will be +3 turns.
  • Top Cut Rounds will be 53 mins long, Best of Three, and when time is called there will be +3 turns.
  • When time is called during Top Cut Rounds , the winner will be decided by the amount of remaining Prize Cards + Games Won to determine the winner.
  • All rulings made by Staff are final and will be made with the players, Staff, and event in mind.
  • Deck list submission is Online Only. Please have a capable device to submit your list at the venue if you haven't already. There will be capable devices at the event to help players convert their list into "PTCGO format" for list submission if necessary.

event prizing The following Prizing is based on 32 players in attendance for the event. If the event has more than 32 players in attendance, the prizing may scale higher with less prizing. If the event has less than 32 players in attendance, the prizing may scale lower with less prizing. Prizing may not scale 1:1 with entrants to pay for staff and venue costs, but all decisions will be in the best interests of the players.

round structure This event follows the official Pokémon TCG Tournament Structure for larger sized events as found here Pokémon Tournament Rules Handbook under Section 4.6.3.2. The number of rounds for this event will accurately be based on the following amount of players:

  • 4-8 players = 3 Swiss Rounds and No Top Cut
  • 9-12 players = 4 Swiss Rounds and Top 4 Cut
  • 13-20 players = 5 Swiss Rounds and Top 4 Cut
  • 21-32 players = 5 Swiss Rounds and Top 8 Cut
  • 33-64 players = 6 Swiss Rounds and Top 8 Cut
  • 65-128 players = 7 Swiss Rounds and Top 8 Cut
  • 129-226 players = 8 Swiss Rounds and Top 8 Cut
  • 227-799 players = 14 Swiss Rounds and Top 8 Cut
