01 / COMPETITION DETAILS

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

⏱ SWISS ROUND FORMAT

Each Swiss Round is Best of One (1) and is 20 minutes in duration. You will have 5 minutes to check in each round.

During SWISS ROUNDS, you must select and win with ONE of the decks you submitted.

During TOP CUT you must win with BOTH SUBMITTED DECKS to advance into the next round.

NOTE: After the first match, the Winner must switch deck, whilst the loser can decide to use the same deck or switch to their second deck.

🃏 DECK REGISTRATION

You can only use the TWO UNIQUE DECKS that you've SUBMITTED on the Limitless TCG site as part of registration. Each deck CANNOT HAVE THE SAME POKEMON AS YOUR PREVIOUS DECK. Decks cannot be changed after the tournament has begun. Failure to comply will result in your disqualification from the tourney.

🔔 CHECK-IN

Check-in will begin 60 minutes before the tournament begins. Players who do not check in will be dropped from the tournament but may join via late registration.

⚔️ TOP CUT

Top Cut will begin immediately after the Swiss Rounds have finished.

👥 PARTICIPANT CAP

Swiss Rounds and Top Cut may be adjusted depending on the level of interest observed and the number of registrations. The maximum tournament cap is 256 participants.

04 / READ BEFORE PLAYING

TOURNAMENT RULES

Failure to comply with any of the rules below may result in a game loss, disqualification, or a ban from future tournaments, depending on the seriousness of the offence.

01 — EVIDENCE & DISPUTES

Always ensure that you have timed screenshots to prove the claim you are trying to prove in the event of a dispute.

02 — CHEATING

Any proven instance of cheating or using tools to gain an advantage will result in disqualification.

03 — SWISS ROUND TIMEOUTS

If you run out of time for a Swiss Round, it will count as a tie unless both players agree to override the results. This must be done before the Swiss Round ends, with assistance from a Judge.

04 — CONNECTION ISSUES

If a connection issue occurs at the beginning of the match before the game begins, players should try again. If it occurs mid-match, the player with the victory screen will be deemed the winner.

05 — CHECK-IN FAILURES

If a player fails to check in on time, the match can continue if both players agree. Otherwise, the player who failed to check in will record a loss. During Top Cut, failing to check in will incur a game loss every 5 minutes.

06 — TIED GAMES

If a result is required for a tied game, the following rules apply:

Tie in Game 1: Whoever wins Game 2 wins.

Tie in Game 2: Whoever won Game 1 wins.

Tie in Game 3: The match goes to sudden death. In a new game, whoever gets the first prize point wins.

07 — INTENTIONAL DRAWS

Intentional Draws are allowed during Swiss Rounds. Make sure both players agree to this outcome and call a Judge to finalise the results.
