Are you a VGC veteran looking to hone your skills before heading to a regional or a newcomer looking to dip their toes into competitive Pokémon for the first time? Whatever your skill level, Shuckle Smack Down! is open to you!
Rules and Tournament Structure
All battles will be played in Pokémon Champions using either a Nintendo Switch system or mobile device.
Shuckle Smack Down! tournaments are Open Team Sheet (OTS), and each round is Best of Three (BO3).
All games will be played using the Regulation M-C ruleset.
When you submit your team sheet, please make sure everything is correct before Round 1 begins. You will NOT be able to make any changes to your team sheet after the tournament begins.
Pokémon on your team sheet should appear as they would in team preview. This means Pokémon holding a mega stone should still be listed in their base form with their ability prior to mega-evolving.
If a Pokémon has multiple forms, the correct form must be indicated (ex: Floette-Eternal or Indeedee-Male).
In order to be as efficient with our time as possible, each round will start as soon as the previous one finishes. Each round will have a 60 minute timer, and you will be required to check in at the start of the tournament and when pairings for each round are updated.
If any issues come up during the tournament, feel free to request a judge. For now, that will probably just be me, Mollusk.
Some tournaments may be streamed! If your match is selected to be on stream, I will reach out to join the battle room as a spectator. If there are plans to stream the event, I will include a link to the action here.
This tournament is single day. The number of rounds will be determined by the number of participants:
