The Culture Classic is an invite-only VGC tournament designed to showcase, empower, and cultivate Black talent in the competitive Pokémon scene during Black History Month. This event provides a dedicated safe space for 250+ Black Trainers while raising funds for the NAACP Empowerment Programs.
100% of proceeds raised during this tournament directly support NAACP Empowerment Programs to build inclusive, equitable communities.

Free Entry & Invite-Only Event
- Invite Code Required: You must be an approved member of the official Discord server to receive the tournament sign-up code.
- Charity Fundraising: Donations are strictly optional but heavily encouraged! You can donate directly on Tiltify: Donate Here
- When donating, please include your tournament tag and comment "The Culture Classic" in your donation message.
- The Culture Classic will be played on Pokémon Champions (Current legal Regulation by event date).
- Swiss: Bo3, Open Teamsheet, Current Regulation
- Top Cut: Players finishing X-2 or better will advance to Phase 2 / Top Cut
- 10 Minutes late to a match results in an automatic Game 1 Loss.
- 15 Minutes late results in an automatic Round Loss (2-0).

- Call a Judge after 10 minutes for Game 1, and after 15 minutes for the full set.
Team Sheet Discrepancy
Team sheets cannot be modified once Phase 1 starts. Issues identified during play may result in game or match losses. VERIFY YOUR TEAMSHEET BEFORE ROUND 1 GOES LIVE.Discrepancy Discovered Before Playing:
- Call a Judge immediately.
- Adjust your in-game team to match the submitted team list if possible.
- If unable to fix in-game, staff will document the issue. You must notify every opponent at the start of each round. Failure to disclose is dishonest behavior and leads to disqualification.
Discrepancy Discovered Mid-Match:
- Call a Judge and capture a screenshot/photo.
- Once verified, the player with the invalid team sheet receives a Game Loss for the current game.
Disconnections
If a disconnect occurs, take a photo or screenshot of the Switch error code immediately.
- Call a Judge on Limitless and submit your error code proof.
