Hi Everyone and welcome to The Shadows's Showdown! For Today there will be no codes prizing but we will try to get some for the next Tournament.
- Sets and promo cards: Will be considered legal on the day they are available on PTCGL. UNLESS the cards are released early i.e. Mega Gengar deck; where the cards are numbered to a future set.
- Swiss Rounds: are Best of 1 with a time limit of 30 minutes with a Check In timer of 4 mins. Timers must be turned on when playing. Time extensions can be granted with judges discretion.
- Top Cut Rounds: are Best of 3 without a time limit without a Check In timer. The higher-seeded player has the choice of going first or second in Game 1 of their match.
- It is the players responsibility to Check In prior to each match - failure to do so will result in an automatic Game Loss.
- In-game and connection issues: This includes game freezing, internet issues, device crashing, bugs or any issues that occur with the client, will have a resolution decided by the judge based on various factors, including but not limited to, game state and amount of turns played.
- It is strongly recommended that you screenshot your victory screens Unless stated in the chat that you are leaving the game due to time/tie/bug we will award the player with the victory screen of the game.
- Ties: occur when the round time runs out and a game is still playing.
- Streaming: Players are allowed to stream their games. It is recommended to have a delay on your stream to avoid "stream sniping" Any advantages gained from streaming from any player can result in match loss. This includes taking play advice from your chat, seeing the opposing players hand, etc. Anything that allows for an unfair advantage.
- Any player who is found breaking rules, using game exploits, harassment, etc. will receive penalties and possible ban from all future events.
- Any player who is intentionally Slow Playing will receive a game loss at the discretion of the judge. Please call a judge AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for slow play. You will be asked to share your screen OR a screenshot of the time discrepancy. A screenshot will be under more scrutiny than a judge actively watching a game and able to warn a player before issuing a game loss. All slow play calls are at the judges discretion.
- Exploiting tournament rules, policy, or minor, irrelevant mistakes to gain an unfair advantage will result in a disqualification.
- Contacting Judges: Please do not add judges or organizers on Discord. We will not reply. Use the judge call button in the game chat. If at anytime, there is no response from either player over three minutes, the call will be cleared.
