Welcome to Chateau Knockout, a Best-of-Three Single Elimination tournament hosted by the Battle Chateau Discord server.
This is a one-day knockout event where every match matters—win and advance, lose and you're out. Designed for players who enjoy fast-paced competitive Pokémon Champions VGC action, Chateau Knockout brings together trainers from across the community for an intense Sunday showdown.
Whether you're a seasoned VGC competitor, a rising challenger, or a newcomer looking to test your skills, this tournament is open to everyone. Battle through the bracket, survive each Best-of-Three set, and fight your way to the championship in a single day of high-stakes competition.

Tournament Structure
Single-Day Elimination Bracket
All registered players will compete in a single-elimination knockout bracket. Once a player loses a match, they are eliminated from the tournament.
- Format: Pokémon Champions VGC Doubles
- Match Format: Best-of-3 (Bo3)
- Bracket Type: Single Elimination
- Team Sheet: Open Team Sheet (OTS)
- Duration: Entire tournament will be completed in one day (Sunday)
⚠️ Joining the Discord server is mandatory for participation. All tournament communication, rulings, announcements, pairings, and scheduling will be handled through Discord.
Open Team Sheets
This tournament uses Open Team Sheets (OTS). All players must submit a team sheet before the tournament begins.
The easiest way to create your team sheet is by using Pokémon Showdown. Recreate your team in the Teambuilder, then click Export and submit the exported text as your team sheet.
Bracket Progression
The tournament bracket will be seeded based on total attendance. Players must win each Best-of-3 set to advance.

Winners advance through each round until a Chateau Knockout Champion is crowned.
Team Rules
- Teams must be legal under the current Pokémon Champions VGC Doubles ruleset.
- Players must use legal Pokémon, moves, abilities, and items.
- Team changes are not permitted after the tournament begins.
- Report of Open Teamsheet Violations will result in game losses and immediate remedy will be required to continue.
- Any use of exploits, cheats, modified game data, or unintended game mechanics may result in immediate disqualification.
Match Procedures
Before the Match
- Be present and ready when pairings are posted.
- Check ins are required before the start of tournament and at the start of every round.
- Contact your opponent promptly.
- Failure to appear within the designated time limit may result in a match loss.
During the Match
- All matches are played as Best-of-3 sets.
- Players are expected to maintain good sportsmanship.
- Harassment, toxic behavior, intentional stalling, or unsporting conduct may result in penalties.
Reporting Results
- Report results immediately after the match concludes.
- Both players are responsible for verifying the final score.
- Tournament staff may request screenshots or additional evidence if a dispute occurs.
Organizer Rulings
Tournament organizers reserve the right to issue warnings, game losses, match losses, or disqualifications where necessary.
All organizer decisions are final.
Schedule Changes
The tournament schedule, timings, and format may be adjusted at the organizers' discretion if required. Any changes will be announced through the official Discord server.
All participants are responsible for staying updated by remaining in the Discord server and checking announcements regularly throughout the event.
