Let us introduce you all to the format!

Structure:

Once a new round is paired all players will have 3 DAYS to complete the match with their opponent.

Contact your opponent within the first 24 hours of each round. A player directory will be provided in the #tournament-updates channel in the Discord so that you can easily find your opponent’s Discord name.

Unplayed matches will be ruled in favor of the team that put the most effort in scheduling.

Rules

Wrong deck: If a player uses the wrong deck during the match they will receive a single game loss for that match. If this is repeated during the same match it will be a match loss. If it happens in multiple matches it will result in a disqualification.

Connectivity Issues: A game officially starts at the coin flip. If a player’s game becomes unresponsive due to internet or app issues, that player should accept a single game loss.

Tied games: If a game would be timed out due to a double K.O. or if the turn limit is hit, the person with the most points at the end of the game is given the win. If both players have the same amount of points the game is replayed with the same decks.

Account sharing: Each player is expected to use their own Pocket account to play (it should match the "in-game name" from your registration) and their own Discord account to communicate. Account sharing and/or the use of multiple accounts is prohibited.

The number of Rounds will be dependent on the number of teams that take part in the tournament:

4-8 Teams = 3 Swiss Rounds, and no Top Cut

9-16 Teams = 4 Swiss Rounds, and Top 4 Cut

17-32 Teams = 5 Swiss Rounds, and Top 8 Cut

33-64 Teams = 6 Swiss Rounds, and Top 8 Cut

65-128 Teams = 5 Swiss Rounds, and Top 16 Cut

PRIZING:

1st placed team: 90$(total) and 2 FA Professor's Research for each teammate (via trade courtesy of Zilla).

2nd placed team: 30$
