THE ISLAND CLASSIC
Welcome to The Island Classic, an online Pokémon Champions VGC tournament organized to support @Arekusabi’s journey to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships!
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
- Date: August 8, 2026
- Start Time: 10:00 AM ET
- Platform: Nintendo Switch, Pokémon Champions
- Format: Regulation M-B
- Match Format: Best-of-three
- Team Sheets: Open Team Sheets
- Entry Fee: $10
- Player Cap: No cap
- Swiss Rounds: Based on attendance
- Top Cut: All players with an X-2 record or better will advance
PRIZE POOL
The current prize pool is:
- 1st Place: $300
- 2nd Place: Chaos Rising Booster Box
- 3rd Place: Chaos Rising Booster Box
- 4th Place: Perfect Order ETB
The prize pool may continue to grow as additional sponsors join the event. If participation surpasses expectations, more prizes may also be added.
SUPPORTING @AREKUSABI’S WORLDS FUND
This tournament is being organized to help fund @Arekusabi’s trip to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships.
Every entry fee directly supports travel expenses, while sponsor contributions go entirely toward the tournament prize pool. As attendance grows, additional sponsor support may increase the prize pool throughout registration.

RULES
The tournament will follow the official Pokémon VGC rules for Regulation M-B.
Official Pokémon tournament rules will also be used for disconnects and other in-game issues. Players should contact a tournament organizer or judge before continuing or reporting the result whenever a dispute occurs.
Unsportsmanlike conduct, intentional delays, cheating, harassment, or manipulation of match results may result in penalties or removal from the tournament.
