General Overview & Format
- Format: Standard (Pokémon TCG Live default)
- Match Structure: Best-of-3 (Bo3)
- Round Time: 50 minutes total for the entire match
- Match Check-In: 3–5 minutes per round on the Limitless match page
Pre-Match & Check-In
- Decklist: Players must submit a legal decklist before the tournament start time.
- Match Check-In: Once pairings are posted, players must check in on their Limitless match page within the check-in window (usually 3–5 minutes). Failure to check in results in an automatic match loss.
- Connecting on PTCGL: Use the match chat on Limitless to exchange in-game screen names and send a Challenge directly on Pokémon TCG Live.
Game & Match Procedures
- Winning the Match: The first player to win 2 games wins the match.
- First / Second Choice:
- Game 1: In-game coin flip determines who goes first.
- Games 2 & 3: The loser of the previous game chooses who goes first for the next game. (Players must challenge each other in-game accordingly).
- Conceding: A player may concede a game at any time (e.g., to preserve time on the clock).
Time Limit & Unfinished Matches
- When Time Expires (50 Min Limit):
- If a game is currently in progress when the round timer ends, the game immediately ends in a draw if neither player has completed their win condition.
- Match Determination at Time:
- 1–0: The player leading 1–0 wins the match.
- 1–1: The match ends in a Tie (Draw).
- 0–0: The match ends in a Tie (Draw).
Reporting & Disconnection Rules
- Result Submission: Both players must manually submit the outcome (Game 1: Win/Loss, Game 2: Win/Loss, etc.) on Limitless after each game.
- Disconnections & Bugs:
- An in-game app crash or disconnection counts as a loss for the disconnected player for that specific game.
- If a game fails to start due to a system bug, both players must take a screenshot and contact a judge in the match chat.
- Evidence: Always take screenshots of victory/defeat screens or error messages in case of disputes.
- Judge Calls: Use the "Call Judge" button on the Limitless match page for disputes, slow play reports, or wrong result submissions.
