🏆 Welcome to the PTCG Live Standard Tournament!
Welcome to our online tournament! This event is played on the Pokémon TCG Live (PTCGL) platform using the current Standard Format.
Please read the following rules carefully before the tournament begins. By registering for this event, you agree to abide by this rulebook.
📋 Quick Tournament Overview
- Format: Standard (only cards with currently legal Standard regulation marks).
- Platform: Pokémon TCG Live (PTCGL).
- Decklist: Must be exported directly from PTCGL and submitted to your Limitless dashboard before the registration deadline. No late changes are allowed. Your in-game deck must match your submitted list card-for-card (Discrepancies = Game Loss).
- In-Game Name (IGN): Your PTCGL screen name must exactly match your Limitless profile name so your opponent can easily find and challenge you.
⏱️ Structure & Check-In
- Tournament Check-In: General check-in usually opens 30–60 minutes before Round 1. Please check your Limitless dashboard to see if this is required.
- Round Check-In: You must manually check in to your specific match on your Limitless dashboard at the start of every single round.
- The 5-Minute Rule: If you fail to check in to your match within 5 minutes of the round starting, you will receive an automatic Match Loss for that round.
- The 10-Minute Rule: Once checked in, you have 10 minutes to accept your opponent's friend request and start the game. If your opponent is unresponsive, click the "Call a Judge" button immediately.
🎮 Match Settings & Gameplay
Matches must be played using the "Friend Challenge" feature in the PTCGL client:
- Copy your opponent's IGN from your Limitless Match Dashboard and send them a friend request in PTCGL.
- Once accepted, challenge your opponent to a "Standard" match.
- All games are governed by the standard in-game timers (chess clocks) provided by the PTCGL client.
🔌 Bugs, Disconnections, & Disputes
Since PTCGL is a digital platform, we use the following guidelines to handle technical issues:
- Disconnections (DCs) & Crashes: If your connection drops or your client crashes during a game, it counts as an automatic Game Loss for that specific game. In Best-of-Three (Bo3) matches, you may quickly restart your client and proceed to the next game if time permits.
- Bugs & Glitches: The client is the final authority. Digital rulings made by PTCGL are final, even if they differ from physical TCG rules. Intentionally exploiting a known bug will result in immediate Disqualification.
- Reporting Results: Both players are responsible for entering the correct score on Limitless immediately after the match ends.
- Take Screenshots: We highly recommend taking screenshots of your victory screens (or any error screens) to serve as proof in case of a score dispute.
