Pride Month 2 Celebration!!
Organized by Lake Valor
Regulation Set M-B
Nintendo Switch

Welcome to the Pride Month 2 VGC tournament!!! In this tournament we celebrate pride by playing with teams that follow the colors of the rainbow!

Each team submitted is required to follow a certain pattern set for this tournament only, using Regulation M-B as a base. Each Pokemon in your team has to look like one unique color from the rainbow, so that means one Pokemon is red, one is orange, one is yellow, one is green, one is blue and one is purple! Teams that don't follow this pattern will not be allowed and will be disqualified.

The colors of each Pokemon are based on what they look like on the team preview screen, so Shiny Pokemon are also allowed depending on which color they are! For example you can use a gardevoir as a green mon, but you can also choose to use a shiny gardevoir as a blue mon. The shiny can't however be a replacement for the non shiny's color, unless they're the same color like Gholdengo and shiny Gholdengo.

It's possible to run a team with 6 of the most used Pokemon in the format, but I highly encourage everyone to be as creative as possible with their teams. Part of what pride is about is celebrating what makes us unique after all! <3

Here's an image with each Pokemon you're allowed to use with each color:

List of legal shiny and non shiny mons

If the image isn't working (idk how this stuff works honestly) you can also check out this spreadsheet with every Pokemon that's allowed: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Hvvhbyh7YeFYaQO1l1oc0Zk6ryVR2IDUvBRtwD8vxWI/edit?usp=sharing

If you don't agree with certain placements, or think a mon that isn't on here should actually be on here, please let me know so I'll consider changing some stuff!

Some Pokemon that can mega evolve change color when they mega evolve, like mega Raichu X and Charizard X. Since these mega's colors don't show on the initial team preview they won't be allowed to be used. (I'm willing to change this if people are really against this)

Btw, when making your team either in game or when submitting it, I highly recommend sorting each mon in the team by color from red to purple! It's not required, but it'll have a satisfying rainbow look to it ;)

Questions that have never been asked and will no longer have to be after this:

But it's July! It's no longer Pride Month!!?

Every month is Pride Month if you're pure of heart :3

Can I use a team that follows a different pride flag, like the trans flag?

Absolutely!! Just make sure to let me (potatolucy on discord or @PotatoLucy_ on twitter dot com) know so I can confirm wether it looks good or not.

I don't see Basculegion male on the list of mons even though female is there, can I still use it?

Unfortunately, due to recent claims of male Basculegion being a misogynist he will not be allowed to compete in this tournament. I don't make the rules sorry.
