For Kearney locals only. Tournament will happen online on TCG Live, we will not meet in person for it.

You must spin a wheel of all available starters until you land on one whose final evolution has an ex. If you land on a pokemon that doesn't have a standard legal ex, respin until you get one. (If you manage to land on Sprigatito, you may choose to respin due to it being extremely weak. However, you may choose to play it if you REALLY want to.)

Rules

1. The only ex pokemon you are allowed to use are your starter, 1 meowth ex, 1 latias ex, and 1 fezandipiti ex. No other ex pokemon are allowed, but other non-rule box pokemon are allowed (such as drakloak, dudunsparce, etc.)
2. If your pokemon has multiple different ex cards (Mega Charizard X and Y, and Mega Greninja, Tera Greninja, and normal Greninja), you must include at least 1 copy of each into your deck.
3. Anything else is fair game, you are not limited to a monotype deck (ex. if you get Charizard, you can use more than just fire pokemon).
4. You cannot look up decklists or ideas for your starter. Once you get your starter, you gotta build it all from scratch without any outside help.
5. You cannot run more than 4 copies of your chosen pokemon (for example, if you get greninja, you have to use 1 mega greninja ex, 1 tera greninja ex and 1 normal greninja ex, and then you are only allowed 1 more copy of a greninja, either a 2nd mega, 2nd tera, or 2nd normal)

Entry is $1 and the total pool from the tournament will go into booster packs for the winner (probably 2 packs).
