Tournament Rules
You must check in to the tournament and to each round within the 4-minute timer - failure to check in will result in a match loss.
The following round will be paired once all matches are complete. Please keep an eye on your dashboard to make sure you check in on time.
Check you have selected the correct deck before sending or accepting a match request, as starting a game with the wrong deck will result in a match loss. Evidence of this will be required on Discord.
Please ensure you are playing with in-game timers on, as we cannot make a judgment on slow-playing without the evidence of a timer difference. Slow play is very difficult to judge in an online setting. If you suspect that your opponent may be slow-playing, please call a judge as soon as possible, and please be ready with screen clips or screenshots of tournament play that clearly have timers visible. We understand that some decks require more time to complete actions than others, but a clear difference in timers will be an indication of slow play. Slow play will result in a match loss.
If your game crashes at any point in the game and you are unable to make actions, a match loss will be awarded.
If your game crashes before you have played any cards, and you can prove that, then you will be allowed to restart.
If both players agree to a restart due to a crash, then the match can be restarted.
Unsportsmanlike conduct towards other players or judges will result in a disqualification and potentially a ban from future tournaments. This is a fun, friendly, free online tournament, and our judging team is made up of volunteers - there’s no need for abuse or unsportsmanlike behaviour.
To help us answer your questions more quickly, please type any messages to the judge team in English. Unfortunately, we only have English-speaking staff, but we will try our best to accommodate as many people as possible.
We highly recommend that you screenshot the victory screen after each match in case of a dispute about the result. If there is a dispute and neither player can show evidence, it will be recorded as a tie and their names will be noted. After two incidents, players will be dropped from the current tournament, and three will result in a ban from future tournaments.
If an issue can't be resolved with evidence within 5 minutes of a Judge responding to any calls, we will have to move on with the tournament, so please be ready with screenshots.
If neither player can connect with the other, and you are both active on Limitless, a double game loss will be awarded. If one player doesn't respond, a game loss will be awarded to the player who doesn't respond to the judges.
If the timer runs out before a result is submitted, the match will be recorded as a tie.
The tournament is now also being streamed. Find us on Twitch @monstercollectiblesuk https://www.twitch.tv/monstercollectiblesuk
Tournament structure
The tournament will be played as a best-of-one, 30 minutes with a 4-minute check-in window. The tournament will be played out until we have a clear winner. The number of players will impact the number of rounds needed to have an X-0 winner.
