History Book

TCG Pocket has come a long way since Genetic Apex. This tournament will condense the entire lifespan of the game (so far!) into a single deck. Who will build the best deck? Bring out your History Books!

Deckbuilding Rules

  • Each deck must contain exactly 1 card from each set (A1, A1a, A2, A2a, A2b, A3, A3a, A3b, A4, A4a, B1, B1a, B2, B2a, B2b, B3) plus 4 Promo Trainer Cards (Professor's Research, Poké Ball, Potion, X Speed, Hand Scope, Pokédex, Red Card)
  • Mega Pokémon are banned.
  • Pokémon Ex are limited to a single copy of a non-Basic Ex.
  • Shiny Pokémon count for the set their non-Shiny version was released in.
  • Promo exclusive Cards count for the set they were released alongside. Promo reprints counts for the set they were originally released in.
  • Duplicate releases (Old Amber [A1, A1a], Iono [A2b, B2a], Penny [A3b, B2a]) can be used for both packs they were released in.

History Book Mockup

Players have 72 hours from the start of each round to complete their match. Discord will be used as the primary method of communication. The tournament will consist of 5 swiss rounds followed by an 8 player top cut. Matches will be held as a best of 3 battles. If a tie occurs, replay the match until a winner is decided. If a player encounters any questions or issues during the tournament please feel free to reach out to me or any of the other gym leaders for assistance. Good luck to all who are participating!
