Are you a VGC veteran looking to hone your skills before heading to a regional? Are you a newcomer looking to dip their toes into competitive Pokémon for the first time?

Whatever your skill level, Shuckle Smack Down! is open to you!

Rules and Tournament Structure

All participants are expected to be courteous to their opponents and anyone else they interact with during this tournament. If you shuck around, you will find out.

All battles will be played in Pokémon Champions. You must have a Nintendo Switch system in order to participate in this tournament.

Shuckle Smack Down! tournaments are Open Team Sheet (OTS), and each round is Best of Three (BO3). All games will be played using the Regulation M-A ruleset. Here is a list of currently usable Pokémon.

When you submit your team sheet, make sure everything is correct before Round 1 begins. You will NOT be able to make any changes to your team sheet after the tournament begins. Pokémon on your team sheet should appear as they would in team preview. This means Pokémon holding a mega stone should still be listed in their base form with their base ability prior to mega-evolving.

Some matches may be streamed! If available, I will stream and commentate the tournament on Twitch and/or upload recordings to YouTube! If your match is selected to be on stream, I may reach out to join the battle room as a spectator.

Being on stream is completely optional. If you would prefer not to have your match featured on stream or in any other video content, please just let me know!

If any other issues come up (disconnect, team sheet errors, opponent no shows, etc) or if you have any questions, please request a judge!
