Blocked - Don't you hate that one card your opponent always seems to have? Don't you wish you could make sure they never get it? In this format, you will never have to deal with your most hated card again! Here's a breakdown of the rules:

CUSTOM RULESET

• Once both players check in, the player who checked in first decided who is player 1 and who is player 2. Both players then choose cards from their opponent's deck to be replaced by professor's research in this order:

• Player 1 chooses 1 card

• Player 2 chooses 2 cards

• Player 1 chooses 1 card

• After both players have subbed out the 2 cards their opponent chose for professor's research, the new deck is used for the entire match.

• Don't forget to switch your deck to match your decklist after the match!

DECKBUILDING

• Your deck must include at least 3 basic Pokemon!
• No Professors research in your base deck, but it will be substituted in for cards your opponent removes.
• Your deck must match your submitted deck, plus any modifications your opponent makes

PRIZING

• NO PRIZING IF THERE ARE 16 OR FEWER PLAYERS
• 1st place: $5 PayPal

ROUNDS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 4-16 players // 4 rounds // top 4
• 17-32 players // 4 rounds // top 8
• 33-64 players // 5 rounds // top 16
• 65+ players // 6 rounds // top 16

POINTS

• Win = +3 points
• Draw = +1 point
• Loss = +0 points

SWISS ROUNDS

• BO1
• 25 minutes, with a 5 minute check-in.
• The time is just an estimate, it could start sooner or later based on when the last players finish.

TOP CUT

• BO3
• No round timer, 5 minute check-in after both players have reached the current bracket. Call a judge if the player doesn’t check in.

DRAWS

• If the game is a draw in swiss rounds, it’s a draw. No tiebreaker.
• Top cut:
• If R1 is a draw, both players get 1 win
• If R2 is a draw, player who won R1 wins
• If R3 is a draw, replay R3

OTHER RULES

• The game starts at the coinflip; if a player disconnects before then and fails to reconnect, the match is invalid.
• After the coinflip, any victories or losses count.

RULE BREAKING

• If your opponent is breaking any rules, call a judge. You must have evidence ready.
