This event is organized by Sagittarian Gaming, in partnership with Pokémon TCG Pocket France, a competitive community focused on meta analysis, deckbuilding and high-level play.

📋 TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The tournament is played across two days.

Day 1 — Swiss Stage

9 Swiss Rounds
BO1 (Best of One)
20 minutes per round + 5 minutes buffer

Swiss Schedule (UTC+2):
20:30 / 20:55 / 21:20 / 21:45 / 22:10 / 22:35 / 23:00 / 23:25 / 23:50

➡️ Players advance to Day 2 based on Swiss standings and tiebreakers


🏆 TOP CUT QUALIFICATION

The number of players advancing to Day 2 depends on total participation:

• 1–32 players → Top 8
• 33–64 players → Top 16
• 65–128 players → Top 32
• 129–256 players → Top 64
• 257+ players → Top 128

Final cut size will always be adjusted to the nearest power of 2.


Day 2 — Playoffs

Single Elimination Bracket
BO3 (Best of Three)
• Qualified players from the Top Cut

Start: 20:30 (UTC+2)
Round duration: 40–50 minutes

Win = 3 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0 point


📈 TIEBREAKERS

If players have the same record, rankings are determined by the strength of their opponents.

  1. Opponent Match Win % (OMW%)
  2. Opponent Opponent Win % (OOW%)
  3. Match Win % (MW%)

Calculated automatically by the platform.


📜 RULES

Decklists

Required before deadline
Same deck for the entire tournament
No deck changes allowed


✅ CHECK-IN

Check-ins confirm that you are present and ready to play.

• Tournament check-in opens before Day 1
• Players who fail to check-in before the start may be removed at the organizer’s discretion

• Late registration is allowed, but players will receive match losses for missed rounds

During Day 1:
• Players have 5 minutes to check-in each round
• Failure to check-in will result in a match loss

• Do NOT start a match unless both players have checked in
• If your opponent is unresponsive, contact a judge

• In case of issues, the tournament platform records will be used as reference


⏰ NO SHOW / LATE POLICY

• Players must be ready when the round starts
• After 5 minutes → match loss

If your opponent is not present, contact a judge.


📸 MATCH EVIDENCE

Players are strongly encouraged to take screenshots of match results.

In case of dispute:
Screenshots may be required
• Judges will make the final decision


Match Reporting

• Both players report results
• Contact a judge/admin if needed


Disconnects

• Reconnect immediately
• Contact admin if unresolved


🎥 FEATURED MATCHES

• Featured matches and live casting may be introduced in future Sagittarian Open events
• Players may be asked to screen share on Discord
• This is optional but highly appreciated


Unsporting Behavior

May result in penalties or disqualification:

cheating
harassment
slow play
match fixing
