The Rules:
Sportsmanship: N's Castle Prioritizes the integrity of players and game, if you are seen being hateful at any point for any reason in this tournament, it will start off with a warning, then a disqualification from the tournamnet you are participating in, and then a ban from any and all N's Castle Tournaments.(These penalties do carry over to future tournaments)
End Of Match/Pace of Play: Once Time is called for the round that means any unfinished matches will be declared a tie. If you believe your opponent is slowplaying you, please call a judge with reasonable time left in the round in order to give the judges time to evaluate the pace of play. When you call a judge for an issue of slowplay, the only acceptable pieces of evidence for the matter will be:
- Streaming your match to the judges and allowing them to watch it over
- If the time difference between both players is 10 or more minutes and proven with screenshots
- Screenshots shows the time difference ALONGSIDE game logs to show that the amount of actions taken does not match the time taken. Any other attempt at proving slowplay will not be able to be progressed further and will be met with the match still ending with a tie. It is also important to understand that even with proof being shown in any of these methods, it is still up to the discretion of the Judge to deem whether there was slowplay within the reviewed match, we do our best to make sure any and all matches are given the proper result, but also are not perfect.
Any end of match agreements must be mentioned to a judge BEFORE NEXT ROUND IS PAIRED, though if a judge is called during timeout, there is no guarantee that there will be an adjustment with the match, we can only guarantee the outcome of a match before time is called.
We recommend having proof of victory through a screenshot or any other method because if a match is reported incorrectly, we are unable to adjust the match without there being proof of the outcome of the match being different. If a match is proven to be incorrectly reported, a warning will be given to the player that incorrectly reported, and can be escalated further if there seems to be intent of malice when reporting(malice does not just mean a verbal altercation, but can also be reporting the match during the match, during the check in window when your opponent has yet to show up, or fighting with the opponent by choosing conflicting results to report the match).
Incorrect Deck List: If you are caught with an incorrect card in your list, you will be given a game loss and asked to change your decklist to match the decklist you have submitted for the tournament. If failure to comply to this by seeing you are playing an incorrect decklist in a future match, you will be disqualified from the tournament you are participating in.
Bugs and Glitches: If a bug or glitch happens during the setup of a match, you may call a judge and be awarded a match reset, but the following procedures will be followed:
- The player not affected by the glitch will be allowed to choose whether they want to go first or second in the reset game.
- If the player not affected by the glitch has a n opening hand that they dont like, they are given one free reset. Any bugs caught during the setup phase also will give the players a 5 minute time extension to allow good time to finish their match.
If bugs or glitches happen in the middle of the match, the player will be asked to play the match to the best of their ability, but if the bug soft locks them out of the game or causes the game to be unplayable, then it will be a game loss to the player affected by the bug. As much as we wish there is more that can be done in these matters, there is no way to fix a game bug nor give enough time to reset a match if it happens mid way. If the Bug is early enough during a match but not in setup, and your opponent agrees to reset the match, then there may be one reset awarded to the match and any procedures that would be given for during setup bugs will be followed.
If a reset is awarded for a bug or glitch and the player that had the bug or glitch has another one in the reset match, all middle of the match procedures will be followed from then on.
Streaming: Players are more than welcome to stream their match! It is recommended though to have a stream delay in order to prevent potential stream sniping from occurring. If found using members in your chat to assist you in the match, you will be given a warning which can be followed by disqualification if this continues.
Judge Calls: If you need a judge to assist you in your match, please use the judge call button and a judge will get to your table as soon as possible. It is encouraged to use the judge call button over something like discord because there is no guarantee we will see it.
