Paradox Era - Pokémon VGC

Welcome to the Paradox Era VGC Tournament! This event is played on Pokémon Scarlet & Violet (Nintendo Switch) following the current official VGC Regulation.

⚠️ Mandatory Requirements

• Discord: You must be a member of our Discord server: https://discord.gg/YfU8jzqdS3
• Team List: You must submit an Open Team List on Limitless before the tournament starts.
• Check-in: You must check in on Limitless during the 60 minutes prior to the start time. Failure to do so will result in being dropped from the event.

📋 Tournament Structure

• Format: VGC Double Battles (Regulation F)

• Matches: All matches are Best-of-Three (Bo3).

• Swiss Rounds: Number of rounds based on attendance.

• Top Cut: Single Elimination bracket for the top-ranking players.

• Swiss Rounds are depending on the attendance :

  • 16 Players or less --> 4 Swiss Rounds, X-1 Cut
  • 17 - 32 Players --> 5 Swiss Rounds, X-2 Cut
  • 33 - 64 Players --> 6 Swiss Rounds, X-2 Cut
  • 65 - 128 Players --> 7 Swiss Rounds, X-2 Cut
    
    

⚙️ How to Play

1. Pairings: When the round starts, go to your Dashboard on Limitless to find your opponent.
2. Room Code: Use the 8-digit code provided on the Limitless match page or agree on one via the match chat.
3. Punctuality: You have 5 minutes to start your match once the round begins. If your opponent doesn't show up, use the "Request a Judge" button.
4. Reporting: Both players must report the score on Limitless immediately after the game.

🛡️ Rules & Fair Play

• Disconnects: In the event of a disconnect, please take a screenshot or video (using the Switch "Capture" button). Contact a Judge immediately.
• Team Errors: Your in-game team must exactly match your submitted Team List. Any discrepancy may result in a Game Loss or Disqualification.
• Timers: Standard VGC in-game timers apply.
• Sportsmanship: Be respectful. Any form of harassment, hate speech, or intentional stalling (slow-playing) will result in an immediate ban.
