The Dark League Tournament | 8PM UTC

Welcome to The Dark League! This is a (mostly) weekly tournament that we organise for players to battle with each other, donations are more than welcome to help hype up the tournaments and the community! Hope you enjoy the tournament and good luck to you!

For this tournament there are 2 PHASES , Each phase will be explained below as well as the rules of the tournament :)

Any donations are more than welcome but not required, tournament details will be updated after donation requests so stay tuned to find out possible future donations and prizes!

Phases!

Phase 1 - 7 Swiss Rounds

Each round you will be parred with someone with same or similar score to you, You will have to fight and record a win or a loss depending if you rise victorious or not. Every win will score you 3 points and a tie will score you 1 point, you will need a total of 13 points to proceed with the next phase!

Phase 2 - Elimination Bracket

Every round you will be matched with an opponent and will have to battle to the best of 3, if you emerge victorious, you will be parred with another opponent until there is only 1 winner!

Rules!

General

• Provide proof of victory if asked by a judge in the discord server, If we cant see it, we can help you

• No rude comments regarding homophobia, transphobia, race etc..., consistent comments will lead you to be banned

• Request a judge when one is actually needed

• Be patient upon waiting for the next round

• Be respectful to your opponents and other players as well as the judges

• Have fun!

Check In + Rounds + Searching

• Check in to every round to make sure that your opponent knows your present

• If matches are played without people checking in, the result of the match can still be counted however other rules will apply as normal

• If both players have checked in, however no match is found after 5 minutes of checking in, please request a judge to sort out the issue

• ALL Rounds that take over 25 minutes (-5:00 Timeout), will be considered as a tie

• Intentional Ties are allowed if both players agree to it

• Sudden Death games are allowed, only if your opponent agrees on it, otherwise the match result will be considered as a tie.

• Round 0 Wins are void, they will not count as a win

Decklist Submissions

• If you accidentally go into a match with the wrong deck, right for restarts are allowed ONLY before the first turn (before first pokemon are revealed)

• Any changes or errors that you make to your deck, let both a judge and all your opponents know before playing any rounds (this includes energy types)

• Do not change with what you play (both card and energy wise) during the tournament, this will result in a disqualification (and possible bans if kept consistent)

Top Cut

• Please stream your game (if you can, in the discord server) for casting during Twitch Streams

• Please be patient during Top Cut, if your opponent is missing or is not replying, request a judge to sort out the issue

• After 5 minutes with no sight of your opponent gives you the right to have the victory of one round after a judge accepts it

• Top Cut ties in the first or second round will serve as normal (both opponents get a point).

• Top Cut ties in the third round will result in a sudden death (rematch and first point awarded will win the round)

Prize Collection/ Processing

• If you are one of the winners of a prize pool, DM @obsidiandark195 of the discord server to process the prize

• You have 3 days to claim your prize, failure to do so will lead to the prize being donated for the next tournament

• Any money won has to be sent via PayPal/ Venmo
