Tournament Date:

  • October 30, 2025
  • 5:00PM PST / 8:00PM EST

Guidelines:

  • Ranked Battle Regulation H in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (SV) will be reran for Global Challenge II and will run from October 3, 2025 until October 5, 2025. Regulation H allows the use of all available Pokémon in the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy Pokedex but will not allow Paradox Pokémon, Legendary Pokemon or Treasures of Ruin.

Teams are require at least 3 spooky Pokémon. Please see below for more details:

  • Ghost
    • Most iconic Halloween type. Associated with spirits, hauntings, and the supernatural.
    • Examples: Gengar, Mimikyu, Banette, Cofagrigus, Spectrier
  • Dark
    • Represents fear, evil, trickery, and night — perfect for a Halloween vibe.
    • Examples: Umbreon, Zoroark, Grimmsnarl, Honchkrow, Spiritomb
  • Poison
    • Often associated with witches, potions, and toxic environments.
    • Examples: Crobat, Toxtricity, Gengar (again!), Ariados, Salazzle
  • Psychic
    • Tied to the paranormal, mind control, and eerie powers like telekinesis or possession.
    • Examples: Mismagius, Gothitelle, Malamar, Chimecho
  • Fairy
    • When given a dark twist (like Mimikyu or Grimmsnarl), Fairy types can also fit Halloween.
    • Examples: Mimikyu, Mawile, Grimmsnarl
  • Bug
    • Creepy-crawlies, especially spiders and moths, give off Halloween vibes.
    • Examples: Ariados, Galvantula, Dustox, Frosmoth

Tournament Format:

  • Tournament Rounds: Swiss Best of 1, w/ open sheets

    • Round Timer: 30 Minutes
  • Top Cut: Best of 3, w/ open team sheets

    • Round Timer: 45 Minutes
