Welcome to the TripleB Standard Showdown!

With my upcoming move delaying Season 5 of Budget Build Battles we're trying something different!
This is a spot for you to test your skills and see how your deck stacks up in the official Pokémon TCG Standard format!
Whether you’re preparing for a Regional, refining a new list, or just looking for some fun and competitive games with the community, this free online event is the perfect place to battle it out.

We’ll also be streaming matches live on Twitch.tv/TripleBtcg, so bring your best decks and good vibes!
If you’re interested in having your matches featured on stream, make sure you’ve joined the TripleB Discord and reach out to myself or a Mod to get the Tournament Streamer role, this gives you access to use the official stream tables during the event.

🎮 Format: TripleB Standard Showdown

1. Standard format (current rotation on Pokémon TCG Live)
2. Sets and promo cards are legal on the day they become available on PTCGL
3. Decklists are locked once the event begins

If you don’t receive a response within 3–5 minutes, please ping a Mod in the Discord or ask in stream chat so we can assist quickly.

🧱 Tournament Structure

• Swiss Rounds: Best of 1, 35 minutes with a 5-minute check-in timer
• Top Cut: Best of 3, 70 minutes with a 10-minute check-in timer
• Check-ins: Required before the event and before each round
• Timers: Must be turned on during every game
• If all games in a round conclude early, the next round may begin sooner, please make sure you have event notifications enabled, the stream open, or stay active in Discord to keep up to date.

Swiss Round Guide

4–8 players = 3 rounds
9–20 players = 4 rounds
21–64 players = 5 rounds
65–128 players = 7 rounds
129–226 players = 8 rounds
226–409 players = 9 rounds
410+ players = 9 rounds with a Top 16 Cut

🛠️ Housekeeping & Rulings

• Screenshots: Always screenshot your victory or tie screen. This helps resolve any result disputes or connection issues.
• Disconnects: If the game crashes or freezes, call a judge. If there’s no response after a few minutes, ping a Mod or message in Discord.
• Early Disconnects: If the game disconnects before or during the first two turns, restart and reconnect. Judges can confirm a reset if needed.
• Known Bugs: For the latest client issues, check the official tracker → Pokémon TCG Live Community-Tracked Issues
• Streaming: Players are encouraged to stream! Please use a short delay to avoid stream sniping.
  • If you stream your matches in the Discord, you’ll receive a 5-minute time extension for that round.
• Contacting Judges: Use the Judge Call button first, then Discord if needed. Please don’t DM judges or organizers directly.
• Discord Participation: While Discord isn’t required to play, it’s the best way to stay updated and interact with the community throughout the event.

🏆 Prizing

There are 50 PTCGL code cards up for grabs, shared among the Top 8 players in a waterfall format.
All prizes will be distributed via Limitless after the event concludes.

🥇 1st Place – 15 Codes
🥈 2nd Place – 10 Codes
🥉 3rd–4th Place – 6 Codes each
🎖️ 5th–8th Place – 3 Codes each

⭐ Bonus Prize

An additional 10 code cards may be awarded to the Most Unique Deck of the Day!
To qualify, the deck must have a positive win rate and will be chosen at the judges’ or streamers’ discretion , so bring something spicy and show off your creativity!

💬 Sportsmanship

Play fair, be respectful, and keep things friendly.
Harassment, cheating, or exploiting game bugs won’t be tolerated and can result in disqualification or future bans.
If you believe your opponent is slow playing, call a judge right away and be able to stream your match or provide screenshots to help with the review.
Remember, this event is about good games, great learning, and even better company.
