Welcome to the JPEG Crew Tournament Hub!
Welcome, competitors! Please take a moment to carefully read through the following details to ensure you're fully prepared for the event rules.
🏆 Tournament Structure 🏆
Player Cap: 64 players this season.
Format: Swiss Rounds — earn as many wins as possible to secure a spot in the Top Cut.
Rounds & Top Cut:
- 8–16 players → 4 rounds → Top 4
- 17–32 players → 5 rounds → Top 8
- 33–64 players → 6 rounds → Top 8 or Top 16 (if more than 50 players join)
Top Cut: The top X players advance to a single-elimination bracket.
Points System:
- ✅ Win: 3 points
- 🤝 Draw: 1 point ⚠️
- ❌ Loss: 0 points
Next Round Rule:
- The next round will start only when all matches have finished, not based on the timer.
- If there are delays, announcements will be made on Discord. Be sure to join the server for real-time updates!
⚠️ Tie Game Rules
- If Game 1 or 2 ends in a tie, you will play Sudden Death to decide the game. This means replaying the game, with the first player to score a point winning that round.
- If Game 3 ends in a tie, you must replay Game 3 from start to finish.
⚖️ Tournament Policies
Respect & Fair Play
- Always maintain a respectful attitude. Toxic behavior or offensive usernames will result in removal from the tournament.
Deck Rules
- If you play with a deck different from the one you submitted, it will result in automatic loss for that round.
Round 0 Wins
- Wins before the coin flip or if your opponent isn’t online do not count.
- Once the coin flip has started, the match is considered valid.
Match Results
- Always take a screenshot of the victory screen to avoid disputes.
Incomplete Matches
- If the match isn’t finished before the round ends, it will be treated as a tie, unless one player is clearly at fault.
Connection Issues
- If you disconnect due to app or internet issues, it will count as a loss, unless it happens before the coin flip.
Slow Play
- If the time difference between players is more than 4 minutes, take a screenshot and report it on Discord. The faster player may claim a win.
Password Problems
- If the given password doesn’t work, both players must agree on a new one.
Late Check-In
- Missing check-in is your responsibility. A judge can assist only if your opponent agrees to continue.
- If the match starts without check-in, it can still proceed. Judges may reset the match if needed.
Intentional Tie
- An intentional tie is allowed if both players agree and request a judge to finalize the decision.
Calling a Judge
- Judges will always make fair decisions based on the official rules.
- If both players can resolve the issue without a judge, no intervention is needed.
🎥 Stream Games
Players have the exciting opportunity to stream their matches directly on the tournament Discord server. By choosing to stream, players will be automatically granted a five-minute extension to their match time. This is to ensure that any delays caused by the stream do not affect the overall gameplay. Judges will make sure to inform players whose games are being streamed about the extended time in a timely manner.
Important Reminder: To maintain a fair and competitive environment, players who are streaming their games will be muted by Server Admins. This helps prevent any potential cheating or players inadvertently receiving hints from casters or others watching the stream.
🎮 Stream Tips for Better Quality
Streaming on Discord is a fantastic way to share your gameplay, but there are a few settings adjustments that can help improve the quality of your stream:
🔧 Discord - Disable Hardware Acceleration
To ensure that Discord handles both your stream and PTCGP seamlessly, head to the Voice & Video settings in Discord and disable Hardware Acceleration. By turning off this feature, Discord will be able to manage the stream more efficiently, resulting in smoother gameplay and a better viewing experience.
If you're unsure how to disable Hardware Acceleration or need assistance with the setup, don't hesitate to reach out to the Tournament Discord community. We’re happy to help ensure you’re ready to stream with the best performance possible!
