The Rundown

  • 4 rounds (subject to change based on attendance)

  • Format is Gym Leader Challenge (link at the bottom for information on GLC Format)

  • Each round is 45 minutes with a 5-minute check-in period.

  • Each event will have a feature match livestreamed and commentated by the TurboBlaze team on our Youtube page. In order to ensure quality, Round 1 will be 50 minutes to include a preliminary check for proper webcam setups.

  • Rounds are Best of 1

  • Rounds start once all results of the previous round have been finalized

  • Rulings followed according to Pokemon TCG Rulebook (see more below in “Rules”)

  • Each round win is worth 3 points, each round draw is worth 1 point

  • The winner at the end of the 4 rounds, as well as anyone who finishes undefeated (no losses or draws) will receive a badge for the type they played in the event

Legal Card Pool

GLC Format - currently BW Base to Black Bolt & White Flare, GLC Ban List applies

Discord

Games are to be played in the TurboBlaze Community Server. Your round’s pairing number will correspond to the table voice channel to use for each round. There will be judges available for each event at all times – if there are any issues, questions or concerns, please contact a judge within the TBS Community Discord server.

Prizing

In addition to badges earned for each tournament, top finishes will be rewarded with exclusive prizes, including special cards, team merchandise, and much more! Prizing will vary each week, so stay tuned for each weekly announcement!

This Week's Prizes

1st place - Ultra Ball Secret Rare (Gold) - BRS 186

Anyone else who earns a badge will also win a random IR Pokemon, FA or Gold Trainer Card!

If we get more than 20 participants, I will throw in a raffle prize for all participants who complete all 4 rounds!

This week's potential raffle prize - Night Stretcher FA (JP) - M1L 083!

Badges

Earning badges during weekly tournaments will also be used to determine qualification for a special tournament at the end of the season – more to come on the special invitational tournament!

Proxies, Altered & Foreign Cards

  • Proxies, Altered & Foreign Cards are allowed as long as they are indistinguishable from other cards – this means not marked or could be picked out from the deck due to thickness or transparency of the card back.

  • Proxies must be in color (no black and white). For proxies, using the Limitless Proxy Printing Tool is strongly encouraged!

  • For custom/altered art cards, only one custom full art proxy is allowed per deck.

  • If using Foreign or World Championship cards, we recommend using opaque sleeves to ensure the card backs are indistinguishable.

  • Re-writing a card proxy onto a different card is not allowed and will result in a match loss

Rules

  • Please remember to check-in at round start. If you forget to check-in, the match-making system will see this as an automatic forfeit!

  • Please, no cheating – it’s lame and will not be tolerated. We’re here to enjoy the game we love. You cheat, break the rules, angle shoot, etc., you’re outta here!

  • Please, be kind to each other! We understand competition can lead to frustration but let’s not take it out on each other. Aggressive and hostile behavior, bullying, discrimination, etc., during events will not be tolerated

  • Please maintain a clean board state ON CAMERA – this means your hand, discard pile, deck and prizes must ALWAYS remain on screen! This includes when shuffling!

  • It is a standard on Webcam to always cut your deck after shuffling your deck either when appropriate, either during or at the end of turn. Players may request a cut from their opponent after shuffling occurs as maintained in the Pokemon TCG Rulebook.

  • If there are any concerns during or after a match, please inform a judge/admin in the Discord server. Please remember judges have sole discretion over decision making and all judge decisions are final.
