xPabsy Weekly Cup #2 - $20 Prize Pool
The xPabsy Cup is a weekly tournament organised by myself, xPabsy. You can catch my streams on Twitch. It is also encouraged that you join our discord server to keep up with tournament updates etc.
The tournament rules are as follows-:
Check in for the tournament opens 1 hour beforehand. Players must ensure they check in before the tournament commences to avoid being dropped.
Check-in for each round is 5 minutes. Failure to check in before the 5 minutes ends will result in an automatic loss, no exceptions. If your opponent has checked in but fails to respond or search for your game 5 minutes after checking in, call for a judge citing that your opponent has failed to play their game. A judge will give your opponent 2 minutes to respond. Failure to respond will result in a forfeit for the entire match. It is the responsibility of players to ensure they are capable of competing in their matches after checking in. Participation in other tournaments or loss of internet connection for example will not change the judge's decision. This is to ensure all matches are completed in a timely manner to avoid lengthy periods of waiting between rounds.
Match results should be submitted via Limitless and screenshots of in-game results are encouraged in case of dispute. Allegations with the necessary screenshots will be unactionable.
Intentional draws are not permitted.
In the event of of an in-game disconnect, whoever has a victory screen will be announced as the winner. Screenshots will be required in the case of a dispute.
Swiss Rounds will last for a total of 20minutes and are BO1.
Ensure that you have submitted your decklist before the tournament starts. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the deck requirements before submitting. Your deck must be submitted via Limitless before the tournament starts. Our discord has the necessary links you'll need. You can also ask any questions in our discord channels and we'll try to assist where possible.
Entering a match with a deck other than the deck submitted on Limitless is against the rules. You must play with the same deck for the entire tournament (including any tie breakers). If you mistakenly enter a match with the wrong deck, you will forfeit the match.
All top cut matches will be BO3. Competitors are encouraged to stream their matches via discord or through their own streaming channels but it is not mandatory to do so. I'll likely look to spectate these games on my own stream.
If competitors choose to stream their matches, it is at the risk of possible stream sniping. This is a difficult allegation to prove and therefore cannot be policed or punished, but it is strongly recommended not to. Let's keep some competitive integrity.
If the outcome of any game of the BO3 results in a tie, that particular game should be replayed. For example, if the match is 1-1 and the 3rd game is a tie, the 3rd game should be replayed.
I would ask that all competitors communicate in a civilized manner. Keep your conversations with opponents respectful. Anyone found to be insulting or bullying another competitor will be pulled from the tournament instantly. This will be at the discretion of judges and their decision is final. In the event of these situations occurring, you can call a judge or provide information/screenshots in the relevant discord channel.
It is encouraged to join the discord server to keep up with tournament updates and to submit screenshots in the event of an issue in the tournament. Judges will have a judge role, so accompany your messages with @judge and someone will respond as soon as they can.
Rule breaking, using exploits or harassment of competitors or judges could result in a DQ.
There can be regular delays in tournaments with the late finish of matches. We endeavor to maintain a good flow of rounds to avoid long waits but these are sometimes unavoidable. In the event that a round finishes earlier than scheduled, it is possible that the next round will start earlier than planned to help speed up the tournament. It is the responsibility of players to keep an eye on their dashboard and be ready for the potential of their matches commencing earlier than scheduled. In the event of an early start, we will announce it in the discord server (even more reason to join the server, to help alert you to schedule changes).
Prizes will be distributed via PayPal only. In the event that I somehow win the tournament (anyone that has seen me play will know this is unlikely lol), the prize will be added to the prize pool for the next tournament.
Have fun and good luck!
