Custom Capy Cup S2: Dimensional War #5

ORGANIZED BY 🦦 GLOBAL CAPY 🦦 Discord

Welcome to our Custom Series Tournament! Please read the details carefully to ensure you're prepared for the unique structure and rules of this event.

Across the fractured timelines of the Pokémon world, reality has begun to unravel. Legendary forces once bound to their own dimensions are crossing over—altering fates, rewriting battles, and awakening powers long forgotten.

The cause? A mysterious energy surge from the A-Z Core, an ancient device rumored to exist only in myths. Each dimension holding different aspects of power: Origin, Evolution, and Destiny.

But the core is unstable. If Pokémon and Trainers from the same set group are used together, the energy becomes unusable. Only those who can master the art of balancing forces from different realities may survive this war.

As portals open and champions from across dimensions gather, one question remains: Which timeline will prevail?

Deck Rules

  • Choose 1 set group for PokĂ©mon and a different set group for Trainers (Supporter, Item, Tools).
  • Available set groups:
    • Set A1: A1, A1a
    • Set A2: A2, A2a, A2b
    • Set A3: A3, A3a, A3b
  • The chosen set group for PokĂ©mon and Trainers must be different.
  • Shiny cards are counted based on their original set
  • Promo cards are allowed.
    • However, if a promo card has the same attack as a card from an original set, it is considered to belong to that original set for deck restriction purposes.

Examples of valid combinations for Dimensional War

  • If you choose Set A1 for Pokemon, you can mix A1 and A1a Pokemon Cards (Ex: Greninja, Gyarados ex)
  • Then you must choose Set A2 or Set A3 for Trainers
  • If you choose Set A2, you must only use Supporter, Item, Tools Cards from A2, A2a and A2b (Ex: Cyrus, Iono)
  • You can free to use any promo cards that not have same attack as a card from an original set (Ex: Pokeball, Rayquaza)

🏆 Tournament Structure

Swiss Rounds: Earn as many wins as possible to secure a spot in the top cut.

⚠️ Next Round – The next round starts when all matches are finished, not based on the timer. Announcements will be made on Discord if there are delays. Join our Discord server to get notified.

Top Cut: Top 8 players advance to a single-elimination bracket.

The number of Swiss Rounds will be determined based on the total number of participants.

Note: Tiebreaker in Top Cut – If a BO3 or BO5 match ends in a tie in the final game, the winner is determined as follows:

  1. The player with the higher points wins.
  2. If both players have the same points, the winner is determined by their Swiss Round match (if they played against each other). The player who won that Swiss Round match advances.
  3. If they did not play each other in Swiss Rounds, the player with the higher overall Swiss Round score advances.
  4. If both players have the same Swiss Round score, they must play a fourth game to determine the winner.

⚖️ Tournament Policies

Respect & Fair Play – Players must be respectful at all times. Toxic behavior or offensive usernames will result in removal.

Victory in Round 0 – Wins before the coin flip or if the opponent is not logged in are INVALID. If the coin flip has started, the match is VALID. Always take a screenshot of the Battle Log.

Proof of Match Results – Always take a screenshot of the victory screen in case of disputes.

Incomplete Matches – If a match is not completed before the round ends, it will be marked as a TIE, unless fault is clearly determined.

Connectivity Issues – If the game is interrupted due to app or internet issues, it counts as a LOSS, unless it happens before the coin flip.

Slow Play is Not Tolerated – If the time limit between players exceeds 4 minutes, please take a screenshot and report it in Discord.

Password Issues – If the generated password cannot be used, both players must create a new password together.

Late Check-In – If you fail to check in due to player error or a website issue, it’s your responsibility. Judges can only assist if your opponent agrees to continue. If a game has started but one player forgot to check in, the match can still proceed. A judge may reset the match if needed.

Intentional Tie – Allowed, but both players must agree and request a judge.

Requesting a Judge – Judges make fair decisions based on rules and facts. If players resolve an issue themselves, a judge is not needed.
