MATCH RULES
a. All games must be played through a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite console.
b. Pokemon Showdown cannot be chosen as a medium of play between players.
c. Rental Teams are allowed.
d. DISCONNECTION RULE - In case of any disconnection during a battle, the following scenarios are to be followed in case the players cannot agree to an alternative:
i. If the battle disconnected before the first turn concluded, then the players must remake the battle and recreate the first turn to the extent of what was executed. The remake includes bringing any Pokémon that have already been revealed. Any new events that may occur such as critical hits will not void the newly created game.
ii. If the battle is disconnected within the first three turns, then the players must remake the battle with the same leads and bring any Pokémon that have already been revealed. The first two turns must be recreated but the third need not be. ● Any new events that may occur, such as critical hits, within the first turn will warrant either player to remake the game up to two (2) times. Any new events that may occur during the third remake will not void the game and must continue until its conclusion. a. Example: Red led the battle with Pikachu and Venusaur while Blue led with Blastoise and Charizard. During Turn 1, Pikachu attacked Blastoise knocking it out, getting the fortunate 80% chance for an OHKO; Venusaur used Protect; Charizard attacked Venusaur. Subsequently, one of the players disconnected. Red and Blue will remake the game. If Pikachu did not knock out Blastoise in this newly created game (Remake 1), the aggrieved player will have the right to remake the game. Now if in the second remade game (Remake 2), Pikachu fails to KO Blastoise again then another remake may be called but any new events in that third game will not void the game. So if in the third remade game Blastoise is still not knocked out, the game will now proceed normally.
iii. If the battle disconnects past the first three turns, then the players must remake the game with the same leads and bring any Pokémon that has already been revealed. The first turn must be recreated, if possible, but the subsequent ones need not be. Any new events that may occur such as critical hits will not void the newly created game. iv. EXCEPTION TO THE DISCONNECTION RULE - The above three scenarios will not apply in the following scenarios: ● When one player has a definitive lead that shows “certain victory”. For this instance, evidence must be presented by the player asserting their supposed
“certain victory”. The assigned Staff shall make a thorough investigation of the incident based on the weight of the evidence presented. ● When a player disconnected and the scenario is analogous to the above. ● When a player disconnected on purpose in which case it shall be ruled as cheating or as the case may be. ● When both players mutually agree on an alternative solution.
