Godzly's Triumphant Light Tournament
Hey everyone, it's Godzly here, and I’m super excited to share some big news—our very first Public Tournament to celebrate and test out the new expansion pack Triumphant Light for Pokémon TCG Pocket is happening! This is your opportunity to battle it out with other fans, showcase your strategies, and enjoy some epic gameplay. Whether you're a pro or just getting started, this tournament is open to everyone.
This will be a two-day event, and on the second day, we’ll be streaming each of the top 8 games live! Make sure you’re available for both days so you don’t miss out on the action. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting competition—let’s make it unforgettable!
Tournament Details:
- Game: Pokémon TCG Pocket
- Format: Swiss Rounds + Top Cut
- Player Limit: No player cap, the more the merrier!
- Deck Rules: Standard format (check the latest rules on Pokémon TCG Pocket)
Sign Up and Registration:
- REGISTRATION: To sign up for the tournament, head to the top of this page where you’ll find the registration section.
- REGISTRATION CODE: The code required to register can be found on our Discord server . Make sure to join the Discord to access it.
- DISCORD REQUIREMENT: Staying in the Discord server is mandatory for all tournament-related updates, including streaming schedules and important tournament-related announcements.
Tournament and Round Check-In:
- CHECK-IN: Players must check in 1 hour prior to the start of the tournament and Players must check in for each round within the allotted time. Failure to check in will result in either a match loss or a disqualifcation from the tournament.
- Reporting Results: After each match, both players must report the result on the Limitless TCG platform. If there’s a dispute, provide screenshot or photo evidence.
- Time Limit: Each round will have a set time limit. Games that have started before the end of the time limit, will be allowed to be completed. However if the series is at 1-1 after said game, the third game wont be played and game will end in a tie.
Rules and Guidelines:
- Deck Submission: All players must submit their deck list before the tournament starts. No changes are allowed after submission.
- Fair Play: Any form of cheating, unsportsmanlike behavior, or use of unauthorized tools will result in disqualification.
- Technical Issues: If you experience technical difficulties, notify a judge immediately. Matches may be restarted if both players agree.
- Respectful Conduct: Be respectful to your opponents and the organizers. Toxic behavior will not be tolerated.
- Judge Decisions: Judges have the final say in all rulings and disputes. If you need assistance, call a judge immediately. Players must respect and follow all decisions made by judges. Please provide screenshots or other evidence to support your case, which can be submitted via Discord.
- Connection Issues:
- If a connection issue occurs before the coin flip, the game may be restarted up to two times.
- If a connection issue occurs after the coin flip, the disconnected player will be considered to have lost the game. Screenshots of the issue must be provided as proof.
- Inactivity: If a player has checked in but remains inactive for more than 5 minutes, the opposing player may claim victory for that round.
- Tiebreakers: Tiebreakers will be determined by the game’s built-in rules or by the tournament organizer’s discretion.
Top 8 Streaming Requirements:
- Once you advance to the Top 8, you are required to stream your matches on Discord for transparency and entertainment purposes.
- All top 8 games will be played One at a time. The tournament organiser will decide the order and communicate it to you via discord. Any games played off stream will be deemed void, and will have to be replayed. Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.
- Make sure your stream is clear. Failure to stream your matches may result in disqualification.
- Feature Matches: Wait to begin your match each round until the match order is selected. Match order will be announced in Godzly's Tournament Announcements Discord channel.
- Streaming Instructions: Once you reach the Top 16, reach out to a judge on Discord for directions on how to stream your matches in the tournament server.
- Match Start: DO NOT begin your match immediately. The Tournament Organizer will announce in the announcements channel when you may start your match. Ensure you follow this instruction to maintain fairness and organization.
