Participant Rules & Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Players must "check in" before the tournament begins AND at the start of every round
  • You must click the "check in" button within your limitless dashboard to be considered "checked in".
    • attempting to begin a game or typing in the chat box is not sufficient to be considered "checked in".
  • Failure to check in at the start of the tournament will result in removal from the tournament.
  • Failure to check in at the start of the round (within 4 minutes of the round starting) will result in a game loss; failure to check in within 10 minutes of the round starting will result in a match loss.
• Must join the Hooglandia Discord Server - all tournament communications will happen in the server (Hint: Join now and visit #open-announcements to find the code you need to register for this tournament!)
• Visit the #discordroles channel to add yourself to the OpenParticipant role to gain access to the appropriate channels.
• DO NOT “mute” mentions of the OpenParticipant role.
• Players are required to share their gameplay (called a Feature Match) to the Discord server upon request using the “Go Live” feature (and are responsible for having hardware/internet capable of doing so). Failure to comply with this rule will result in disqualification and removal from the event, regardless of record.
  • The Discord server has a few open “test” voice channels where you can practice/test “Go Live” prior to the tournament to ensure you know how to comply with this rule.
• READ THE HOOGLANDIA OPEN ANNOUNCEMENTS CHANNEL IN THE HOOGLANDIA DISCORD SERVER. This channel is your source of information for the tournament. This tournament page may not be all-inclusive. Updates will be made using the Discord server. Please be sure you are following the conversation. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE REGISTRATION CODE YOU SHOULD ESPECIALLY LOOK IN THIS CHANNEL
• If you have any questions, use the #ask-the-to channel in the Hooglandia Discord server. You can ping @TournamentStaff for urgent questions.
• DO NOT IMMEDIATELY BEGIN PLAYING EACH ROUND: Wait to begin your match each round until the 3 feature matches are selected. Feature matches will be announced in the Hooglandia Open announcements Discord channel.
  • If you are NOT a feature match, you may begin playing immediately after the feature matches are selected.
  • If you ARE a feature match, please see “Feature Match Instructions” below
• Take screenshots of your match results.

Discord Server Details:

• The Hooglandia Open Series has a special category of Discord Channels in the Hooglandia Discord Server section called: HooglandiaOpenSeries
  • All tournament participants should add themselves to the @OpenParticipant Discord role which we will use when making announcements. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE YOU ARE IN THIS ROLE. To view your roles, click on your name or profile picture. If you are not in the “OpenParticipant” role, visit the #discordroles channel and click the "4" reaction.
• Channel Descriptions:
  • open-announcements: All announcements will be made here during and prior to the tournament. Only the Tournament Organizers have permissions to post in this channel. Check the pins here for the registration code, too!
  • ask-the-to: If you have a tournament rule question, have a dispute, or need to reach tournament staff for any other reason, you can ask here. Ping @TournamentStaff for assistance.
  • open-general: Miscellaneous chat about the tournament.
  • I'M A FEATURE: If you are a designated feature match (announced in the announcements channel at the start of each round), join this channel and the TO will move you to the appropriate private channel shortly.
  • Feature1a-4b: Private feature match channels. Users cannot join these directly.

Feature Match Instructions:

Follow these instructions in order:

1. Join the Hooglandia Open I'M A FEATURE voice chat in the Hooglandia Discord server
   • The tournament organizer will then move you to a private Feature Match channel
2. Once you are moved to the private Feature Match channel: Click Here for Reference Images
   • Pull the menu tray up from the bottom (1)
   • Click “Share Your Screen” (2)
   • Choose "Whole Screen" OR “A single app” in the drop-down (3)
     • "Single app" share only available on certain version of Android
     • if using "whole screen," you must set your device to "do not disturb"
   • click “Start” (3)
   • Choose the PTCGP app (4)
   • DO NOT IMMEDIATELY BEGIN YOUR MATCH: The Tournament Organizer will make an announcement in the announcements channel when you may begin your match.
