Oceanic Tournament Series - EUIC Special Practice Event

Oceanic Tournament Series Online 2025

Date: Feb 19, 2025
Time: 8:00 PM AEDT , 9:00 AM GMT
Format: Standard Pokémon TCG Live

Rules

  • The tournament is played on Pokémon TCG Live and will have standard format as defined by this program.

  • Every player will have registered a decklist for the tournament. This decklist will be [b]private[b] but if a player is found to be intentionally playing a different/modified list, they will be disqualified from the tournament. In the case of starting a game accidentally with an incorrect decklist, a player may draw attention to it in the chat before playing a turn and the game should be restarted.

  • Unfortunately, Pokémon TCG Live is full of bugs and we all have equal chance of being unlucky with it so if a player experiences disconnection or other issues rendering the game unplayable after the game has started, they’ll have to concede the game.

  • Each round will last 45min which includes a 5min check-in window. If a player is not ready within the 5min, they will be deemed to have conceded the game. Be aware that on occasion rounds end quickly and the next round will be started early. In these cases, the early start will be broadcast on discord. These check-in windows will be enforced without prejudice.

  • If a victory is not claimed within the 45min round time, the match will be given a tied result and each player will get 1 point. A 3min warning will be posted each round in the tournament chat in the tournament discord channel.

  • Please screenshot your victory screen to avoid problems when claiming the win for a round.

  • Each player must be contactable through the tournament discord channel (Join our Discord here!) for the duration of tournament. Any player who does not respond to a discord message from the tournament admins will be assumed to have dropped and will be removed from the tournament.

  • Every tournament is plagued by claims of slow play. In the case of suspected slow play, the game must be streamed to a discord table and an admin contacted to view the game state and remaining gameplay then make an assessment. This must occur with at least ten minutes remaining in the round or the claim will be deemed unactionable.

  • The tournament is 5 bo3 Swiss rounds with no finals

  • Wins are 3 match points and ties are worth 1 point. If players wish to intentionally claim a draw, they should contact an admin before round end.

  • Please use English when conversing with judges and staff

Prizing:

There will be no prizing provided by the Oceanic Tournament Organisers; your prizes will be practice for the EUIC (or fun and bragging rights if you're not attending that event)

For info on prizing of the standard OTS series, visit the series page using this link

  • The OTS League is running weekly for 25 events, February through July, with the top players invited to a special event to be determined in the future.
  • Please keep in mind, these tournaments are run for fun by volunteers. The main aim is to have fun playing Pokémon TCG competitively. Stay kind and good luck.
  • Invite your friends to join this community.
