Custom format

This year at EUIC there are Plenty of alternative formats to play at the official side events, Raid Battles, Expanded and GLC. However ”The Best Format” isn’t one of them. Welcome to the Epic Splash unofficial side event.

Introducing Epic Splash

Epic Splash is a coin flip heavy variant of the Pokémon TCG. It borrows all of the rules of the regular TCG but adds an extra win condition, a token to represent BREAK evolution and restricts decks to 15 cards they must have and a long list of allowed cards.

All of the rules of the format can be found here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_YZU3WVeESPZ1tR4r9uVvFLpKcaJWBiU3GxJvIC-gtU/edit

Tournament Structure

3 x SWISS rounds 30 minutes. Best of 1 with a Top 4 cut. Hoping to resolve this tournament before TCG Juniors finals begin. First round pairings should go live at 9am. Please check in to the tournament when you arrive in the hall.

There will be no judge support. Use the players around you on the table for any rulings questions. If they’re crazy enough to be playing an Epic Splash tournament, chances are they’re used to the format. In the end I’m sure everyone will come to a civil agreement for a silly coin flip game with no prizes.

Table numbers and spaces will go up on the day so follow @justflipheads on X to keep up to date on our location on the day.

Proxies are welcome.
