Oceania Tournament Series Online 2025 – OTSO25 - #0
Date: Jan 26, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM AEDT , 8:00 AM GMT
Format: Standard Pokémon TCG Live
Rules
The tournament is played on Pokémon TCG Live and will have standard format as defined by this program.
Every player will have registered a decklist for the tournament. This decklist is public and if a player is found to be intentionally playing a different/modified list, they will be disqualified from the tournament. In the case of starting a game accidentally with an incorrect decklist, a player may draw attention to it in the chat before playing a turn and the game may be restarted.
Unfortunately, Pokémon TCG Live is full of bugs and we all have equal chance of being unlucky with it so if a player experiences disconnection, they’ll have to concede the game.
Each round will last 35min which includes a 5min check-in window. If a player is not ready within the 5min, they will be deemed to have conceded the round. Be aware that on occasion rounds end quickly and the next round will be started early. In these cases, the check-in time will be extended to 8min. These check-in windows will be enforced without prejudice.
If a victory is not claimed within the 35min round time, the match will be given a tied result and each player will get 1 point. A 3min warning will be posted each round in the tournament chat in the tournament discord channel.
Please screenshot your victory screen to avoid problems when claiming the win for a round.
Each player must be contactable through the tournament discord channel for the duration of tournament. Any player who does not respond to a discord message from the tournament admins will be assumed to have dropped and will be removed from the tournament.
Every tournament is plagued by claims of slow play. In the case of suspected slow play, the game must be streamed to a discord table and an admin contacted to view the game state and remaining gameplay then make an assessment. This must occur with at least ten minutes remaining in the round or the claim will be deemed unactionable.
The tournament is bo1 Swiss rounds followed by bo3 top 8 finals.
Wins are 3 match points and ties are worth 1 point. If players wish to intentionally claim a draw, they should contact an admin before round end.
The number of Swiss rounds will defined by Limitless and will be standard based on the number of participants
Finals rounds will have 1hr20min maximum for the bo3 to expedite the finals. Keep in mind they will likely proceed more swiftly than this.
