Welcome to the Tournament!

Pokemon Downunder was created to create events at Australian-friendly times because no other tournaments were running for Australian afternoons/nights. I hope to provide a fun and fair competitive environment for players who might otherwise miss out, though I am new to this. Everyone is welcome to participate—just note that communication with judges is expected to be in English.

Tournament Format

  1. Standard
All cards are allowed. No restrictions.

  2. Flash Cup
I have done 5 Bo1 Swiss rounds into a Bo3 top cut. Anyone who goes 5-0 or 4-1 will make the top cut. If you want more tournaments at similar times to this one, I suggest registering and playing so I know there's interest.

Tournament Rules

  1. Inappropriate Behavior
Inappropriate behavior will result in an automatic game loss, round loss, or disqualification, depending on the situation.

  2. Deck Rules
Only one deck will be used throughout the entire tournament. Verify your opponent's decklist to avoid issues with deck changes during the tournament. Screenshot proof will be required.

  3. Round Structure

    • Swiss Rounds are BO1 matches with a duration of 20 minutes.
    • Players have 5 minutes to check in before each round.
    • If an opponent takes longer than 5 minutes to check in, they will lose the match.
  4. Overtime Rules
In the case of overtime, there will be a maximum of two minutes to determine the match.

    • If no result is reached within that time, the match will automatically be declared a draw.
    • This decision is NON-APPEALABLE to any judge or organizer.
    • Participants found intentionally stalling, and if verified, will be banned from future events.
  5. Respect and Conduct
NO DISRESPECT toward opponents, staff, or the community (stream/Discord) will be tolerated. Violations will result in penalties as necessary.

  6. Disputes and Proof

    • Remember to take a screenshot of your victory screen in case there is a dispute regarding the result of a match.
    • In the event of a dispute, this timestamped screenshot will be the deciding factor.
    • Remember that the opponent's name IS VISIBLE.
    • Whenever possible, we recommend recording your screen for additional proof.
  7. Prohibited Actions
In-game exploits, bugs, harassment, etc., are not allowed and will result in penalties.

  8. Connection Issues

    • If connection issues occur before the game starts (the game never begins), players must retry.
    • If connection issues happen mid-game, the player who has the victory screen will be awarded the win.
  9. Communication with Judges
Use only Limitless and Discord to submit evidence or communicate with judges.
