KEY INFORMATION & RULES:
The tournament is free of charge and has no registration fee. It is an event designed to bring the community together and give everyone the opportunity to challenge themselves and do their best. However, to make the experience more exciting and engaging, there is a prize pool of 100 €, which will be awarded to the winner in the form of an Amazon gift card
The tournament will be played using the competitive format currently in effect since January 1st, which is the VGC Regulation Set G
The tournament will take place over two days: on Saturday January 4th, and Sunday January 5th. On Saturday, registrations will close at 2pm CET, and the Swiss rounds will begin in a Best of Three format. The number of rounds will be determined on the spot based on the number of participants. On Sunday at 2pm, the second day of Swiss rounds in Best of Three format will take place, and all players with 2 or fewer losses from Saturday will qualify to participate. Immediately following, the TopCut will begin, with all players who have no more than two losses advancing *
Half an hour before the start of the tournament, starting at 1:30pm, it will be mandatory for each participant to confirm their presence through the check-in process. Before checking in, it is important to ensure that all required fields have been filled out during registration and that your team list has been uploaded. Failure to provide this information will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament. It will also be the responsibility of each player to confirm their presence between rounds by checking in at the start of each new round. Failure to confirm attendance via check-in will result in the player being removed from the tournament
For convenience, the tournament will be held on the Pokémon Showdown simulator. The following will be mandatory: write your Pokémon Showdown nickname to your opponent; sending a Best of Three challenge request; keeping the match public and visible so it can be streamed; accepting the Open Team Sheets at the start of each Best of Three match; starting the timer at the beginning of each game. Failing to comply with any of these rules will result in an immediate loss
Players will have access to the integrated chat on Limitless to organize themselves before the match, through which they can request the intervention of a Judge if necessary. It is also the responsibility of each player to obligatorily report their result on Limitless
The tournament will be streamed live on the channel https://www.twitch.tv/madmosca. All participants are strongly encouraged to attend the live stream during the tournament, as all announcements, such as round start times, matches to be featured on stream, and any other relevant communications, will be made verbally. It will be important to be present for any real-time notifications made to the players. *It will be the organizer's final decision to determine, based on the number of participants, how to best structure not only the TopCut phase but also whether to have a single day of Swiss rounds and/or move directly to the Top Cut on Saturday
