Welcome To Our First Monthly Pocket Showdown!

As we dive into Pocket content hosting here in HyberNation, we are looking to hit the ground running! For our first tournament, we're going to level the playing field a little bit. Monthly Pocket Showdown #1 will be a completely open non-EX format! You will play Best of 3s, you DO NOT need to submit a decklist, and you can use any decks you want at any time as long as they have no EX Pokemon in them. This will be a 2-day format since we'll be hosting Bo5 matches for our Top Cut. Keep in mind, you need to be available the following day, December 6th, at 7PM EST if you make Top Cut.

Without further adieu, here are the rules:

1. First round is an 8-round Swiss format. All matches are Best of 3. Starts December 5th at 7PM EST.
2. Second round is a 16-player Top Cut for the victor. All matches are Best of 5. Starts December 6th at 7PM EST.
3. You may use any cards you want as long as they are Single-Prize Cards (No EX Cards Allowed).
4. You may use as many or as few decks as you like throughout the tournament.
5. There is no decklist submission.
6. You can change decks mid-match each round. You do not need to use a single deck throughout an entire Bo series.
7. All communication will be done in the HyberNation Discord server. You can ping and comment to your opponent there.
8. Once in the Discord, give yourself the Pokemon TCG Pocket role and navigate to the designated channels for the tournament. There will be text and voice calls you can join.
9. All judge requests should be forwarded to TCG Pocket staff in the HyberNation Discord.
10. If you play someone and they put an EX card into play, take a screenshot, concede the match, and contact HyberNation Staff. DO NOT IMMEDIATELY MARK YOURSELF AS THE VICTOR.
11. Ties are in consideration for points. You get 3 points for a match victory, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss.
12. Please be respectful of your opponents. We are here for a good time, not a long time.
13. A third place match will be played. The prizing structure is as follows:

• 1st Place: Champion role in your choice of color in the Discord
• 2nd Place: Placement role in the Discord
• 3rd Place: Placement role in the Discord
• If HyberNation Staff play and place top 3, tiebreaker matches will be played independently. HyberNation Staff are not eligible to win any prizes.

1. You have 35 minutes total to complete each round. Uncompleted rounds will be marked a tie, or a victory for the player with the game advantage if stalling tactics are detected. 5 minutes of the allotted 35 are your check-in period. If you miss check-in for a round, you will forfeit that round.
2. Streaming is allowed. You are not required to have a delay, but we highly recommend it due to potential stream sniping activities.
3. Match results will be recorded in Limitless Dashboard, but all base communications will be done via Discord. If you are victorious and are not reachable via Discord, you will not receive your prize.
