DECK RULES
Standard format
All currently available Pokémon TCG Pocket cards are allowed.
You must submit a decklist prior to the start time. You will use that deck for the duration of the event.
STRUCTURE
Swiss System: You will be paired with a new opponent each round and your goal is to earn as many wins/points as possible.
- A match win is worth 1 point.
- A match loss or draw is worth 0 pts.
Top Cut: At the end of the Swiss period, the top players will advance to a single-elimination bracket.
Best-of-3: All matches in this tournament are best-of-three games. This means you will play up to three games against each opponent; the first player to win two games is declared the match winner.
35-Minute Rounds | 5-Minute Check-In Period
Once a new round is paired all players will have 35 minutes to complete their match with their opponent.
You MUST complete check in within the first 5 minutes of the round. You should coordinate the Match Password with your opponent and begin play within that period. Players who are late and/or non-responsive may incur a penalty including match loss and possibly removal from the event.
If a round is finished early, we will start the next round ahead of schedule - it's important to keep your dashboard open at all times during the event.
TOURNAMENT POLICIES
Proof of Match Result: It is recommended that players take a screenshot of the victory screen for each game. You should keep these until the end of the tournament in case there is a dispute. If two players disagree on the outcome of a game and neither has proof, it will be scored a double loss.
Missed Check In: The check in process each round lets the organizers know who is here and ready to play. We remove players who do not appear active, so if you miss check in but intend to continue in the event please let the organizers know.
Game Loss Due to Connectivity Issues: It is our policy that each game initiated should count toward the match outcome. If a player’s game becomes unresponsive due to internet or app issues, that player should accept the game loss.
Slowplay/Stalling: Players are expected to take actions at a reasonable pace. Intentionally slowplaying is considered an unsporting conduct and should be reported (with screenshots if possible).
Incomplete Matches: At the end of a scheduled round, any incomplete matches will be automatically scored a draw. This is equivalent to a double loss, so there is no benefit to either player in not completing the match on time.
Dropping from the Event: If you no longer wish to play, please use the red "Drop" button on your dashboard so that you are not paired with an opponent in any future rounds. Thank you!
Family Friendly Community: We welcome players of all ages. You are expected to conduct yourself appropriately and keep discussions polite. Inappropriate content in the form of usernames, language used in chat, or in any other context is subject to removal from the event.
Need Help?: If you have any questions or concerns during the event, use the "Request a Judge" button here on Limitless or get in touch with @rabidragon on Discord.
