WELCOME TO THE ST. PATRICK'S DAY SHOWDOWN!

To celebrate a fun holiday, we're going to have a special tournament here in Regulation F, so let's enjoy the fireworks all you incredible trainers will provide!!

Also, before anyone asks, while the tournament title says "Showdown", the games WILL be on the Nintendo Switch unless disconnections happen (see below for DC issue resolutions)

RULES

Regulation F is the ruleset, so only Pokemon currently legal are eligible. However, there's ONE major caveat:

ONLY POKEMON WHO ARE NATURALLY GREEN IN COLOR OR HAVE A GREEN SHINY ARE ELIGIBLE!!

If a Pokemon is listed in the "Shiny" category, but you have a normal color, it should be okay!

Outside of that, it's standard VGC Regulation F Rules:

  • "Official Rules 1" in-game
  • Bring 6 Pokemon, select 4
  • Battle Time: 20 minutes
  • Player Time: 7 minutes
  • Preview Time: 90 seconds
  • Turn Time: 45 seconds
  • Team Sheets WILL be heavily enforced. If any Pokemon is not on the legal list according to this Google Sheet, you will be immediately removed from the tournament!!

JUDGE ISSUES/DISCONNECTIONS

PLEASE Call a Judge if you need help in your match

  • No Show Opponent
  • Team Sheet Issues
  • Wrong Score Reported
  • Player Issues
  • Disconnections
  • Opponent No Show

Team Sheet Discrepancy

Team Sheets may not be changed after the tournament starts. Issues found on your team sheet during the tournament WILL result in being DISQUALIFIED from the tournament! DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TEAMSHEET THAT ALL SUBMITTED POKEMON ARE ON THE LEGAL GOOGLE SHEET BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT

Before the round

Call a Judge.

  • Fix the team to match the current team list
  • If you cannot change the team to match the team list, notify a Judge of the issue so we can mark it down.
  • Notify EACH Opponent at the start of your rounds of the issue.
  • Failure to do so is considered dishonest behavior and can result in disqualification.

After the round has begun

Call a Judge.

Gather evidence via:

  • Screen Shot of DC code
  • Recording of the DC.

Once a Judge has verified the issue the player in question will receive a game loss (if game 3 of the set the round will be forfeited) At this point the player in question can now change the team to match the team list or begin notifying each opponent of the issue. Failure to do so will be considered dishonest behavior and may result in disqualification.

Disconnections

  • In the case of a disconnection, an error code is provided. Capture that Error Code!
  • Screen Shot with your Switch or take a photo with your phone.
  • Call a Judge!

Prizing:

  • Prizing is TBD currently.
